Although we offer an advance, this is a commission-based position.
Income is based on an individual's skill, drive, & tenure & our team ranges from 35K-100K
Being an Independent Retail Consultant is like running your own business or owning a franchise without the upfront costs and headaches. Let your inner Entrepreneur come out!

Sell, service, and add value to our existing accounts.
Prospect and open new accounts.
Meet agreed upon vendor sales goals.
Be a consistent and reliable partner to your buyers and vendors.
As an expert consultant, advise about product information, suggest merchandising ideas, take charge to inventory to advise for reorders, make ordering recommendations, and share product images for marketing and social media needs.
Set follow up appointments to establish a regular route so buyers can count on you.
While the product is important, our industry is relationship driven at its core. YOU are the most important asset in the equation.
Our Sales Associates benefit from our powerful Marketing outreach effort, Social Media presence, supportive peer to peer culture, prompt commission payments direct deposited bimonthly, and our Company's track record of long-term relationships with our vendors and team members.
Since 1983, we have worked diligently to earn the trust, loyalty, and confidence of our partners and proudly tout our positive and harmonious relationships as a badge of honor. Commission based on results, selling a wide variety of products to a vast spectrum of retail stores.

Sales Development Representative
Sendlane
Business development representative job in San Diego, CA
If you're reading this, it means you think you have what it takes to be a Sales Development Rep for Sendlane (aka SDR). Right on!
Before getting too far ahead of yourself, let's talk about our company as a whole. We're a startup with a young team of really ambitious and hard-working people who are in a constant state of evolution. This is a good thing because we have to evolve to scale but more importantly we have to evolve to survive (Thanks, Darwin…).
There's been a lot of evolution here in the past year. With Sales being our youngest department, it's not shocking that we've created a ton of processes and procedures just to turn around and completely scrap everything. We're actually really proud of that (even though we know someone reading this just shuttered at the thought) because it means we tried, we failed, we learned, we grew and now? We're evolving the department.
There is this common misconception that "great SaaS products sell themselves". Ehhh, we beg to differ. Solutions aren't always obvious. We need great people to sell our great product. That's where you come in.
We know that selling SaaS products can be tricky! But if you have experience with this sort of sales environment, then you already know: It requires a different kind of wit, grit and ability. We expect that you'll be motivated to understand our platform on a level that helps you drive every call towards a solution for the potential client..
In this role, while it's typical that an SDR is typically an inside sales person that focuses on outbound prospecting, we need someone that can handle both inbound AND outbound leads. Someone who knows how to qualify leads, ask the right questions and set up our Account Executives to drive the close.
You'd be the first point of contact with our potential clients, determining their goodness of fit by asking the right questions and setting the stage for how our platform can solve their pain points.
Notice we keep using the word “Solve/Solution”? The key to success at Sendlane is nurturing a very solution-minded approach. Addressing pain points and providing ways to accomplish the client's goals, even if it requires some creativity.
If you have confidence in your approach and ability to get people to talk to you, know how to pivot through a conversation with curve-balls that you might not have answers for and want to get in on the ground floor of a quickly-growing company? Hit that apply button.
Let's summarize the job of our SDRs:
Organize high-volume inbound and outbound leads, proactively strategizing customer outreach that results in responses and active communication.
Effectively qualify leads to determine a fit with our platform, asking probing questions that drive the conversation towards determining pain-points and setting up a demo.
Set demo appointments with potential clients whose fit has been confirmed
Document all conversations so that the hand-off to AE's is seamless
Reporting individual results on a weekly basis, working with the VP of Sales to achieve and surpass monthly quotas
Staying up-to-date with new features and pricing plans (keeping self educated on our platform and our competition)
This position requires you to have thick skin and a competitive nature. If you have inside sales experience, that's a plus, but we'd consider anyone who has an obvious hunger to learn, grow and advance their careers in Sales. Being an eloquent communicator is an absolute necessity because you need to be able to efficiently and effectively communicate your message while building trust and establishing rapport that makes the other person want to work with you and, ultimately, Sendlane.
If this sounds like a job you'd really enjoy, then we want to hear from you!
Hit that APPLY button and we'll be in touch!
