Job Description:
Capital Markets, Core Processing and Risk provide Operational support to the Capital Markets business within Wealth Management. As part of their support model, CMCPR has an embedded Change Control team within each silo that is responsible for the management of both Change the Bank and Run the Bank change programs. The team collaborates with stakeholders in Operations, IT and the Business to analyze, define and deliver the Technology and Operational processes. Members of the team are expected to take leadership roles in the various programs as well as to take personal accountability for delivering first class solutions and products.
The Clearing & Settlement team for CMCPR team have a high level of interaction with Business Specialists (Financial Advisors), Branch Management, Compliance and Risk Teams. The team is also the liaison between the field and the businesses unit / trading desk. On a day-to-day basis, the team member manages conflicting events that occurs throughout the day.
The Clearing & Settlement team is responsible for managing the day-to-day support of the trade lifecycle including the trade settlement across various asset classes and trade matching platforms. The candidate would also be performing suspense account reconciliation and balancing. This role entails heavy interaction with both internal and external financial advisors, the Core Settlements departments, MSWM trading desks, and external market centers and counterparties.
Responsibilities:
Review and ensure 1099/1042-S Reporting is accurate
Updates excel files for accurate reporting values
Ensure participant data is accurate
Attain appropriate approvals, document and confirm successful submissions per jurisdiction
Ensure that all tax filings and reporting for Corporate Clients and Shareworks, are issued accurately and timely
Review IRS filings and State filings are accurate
Contribute to the annual tax production project plan to ensure that all relevant tasks are captured throughout the year
Perform all required testing on tax forms that are issued from Shareworks to ensure accuracy through preliminary reviews
Manage any special handling requirements for clients inclusive of tax form amendments for clients
Audit tax form generation to ensure all forms for all clients have been completed
Proactively provide project updates to Tax Manager as required to ensure the success of tax activities
Update processes and procedures policy portal as required
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
A minimum of 2 years of financial services industry experience
Skills:
General knowledge of financial markets and investment products, specifically Trade Clearance and Settlements. (DTCC, Fed, Government, Muni).

Salary Range: $102,400 - $153,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

A Day in the Life
Collaborate with management to lead and execute, (under the supervision and guidance of NIH Business Area (BA) leadership), from start to finish, assigned project(s) supporting the strategy and growth of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Business Area. Projects will have a start and end date and will culminate in a final product (such as a document, report, power point, spreadsheet, etc., but is TBD based on the project) and a presentation near the end of the internship. Projects will have frequent check-ins to ensure the ‘right track' and to support the learning and development of the individual carrying out the project. The purpose of the project approach is to ensure a collaborative and hands on intern experience that delivers real and lasting value to the intern as well as the GDIT NIH Business Area.
