Ā· Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring prompt resolution of service issues. Policy and Process Development: Ā· Ensure that the contracted engineering team consistently follows all maintenance policies, procedures, and processes. Ā· Evaluate existing procedures and identify areas for improvement or streamlining. Ā· Develop, document, and implement new processes or procedures as required to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. Compliance and Reporting: Ā· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and organizational standards. Ā· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, contracts, and projects for audit and reporting purposes. Ā· Provide regular updates to leadership on contract performance, project status and maintenance outcomes.     Full-time Description Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Lee's Summit, Missouri, a large parish with a grade school and early childhood center, is seeking to fill the position of Director of Finance and Business Operations. This is a leadership position that oversees all financial functions, administrative systems, and business operations to support the overall parish. This position reports to the Pastor. Responsibilities Ā· Manage and prepare financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually. Ā· Oversee the day to day financial activity of the parish, including accounts payable and cash receipts. Ā· Oversee payroll, benefits, and related human resource functions. Ā· Manage year-end tax reporting and requirements. Ā· Maintain the integrity of the parishioner database. Ā· Manage and oversee the day-to-day maintenance needs and project related maintenance, repair and upkeep of buildings and grounds. Ā· Prepare budget in collaboration with the Pastor and Ministry leaders. Ā· Manage the office administrative function and staff. Ā· Oversee the business operations of the parish. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ā· Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills - highly collaborative and an effective team member. Ā· Exercise planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines through problem-solving and multi-tasking. Ā· Handle confidential information with integrity. Requirements Ā· Undergraduate degree in accounting, business or finance, or equivalent work experience. Ā· Minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. Ā· Intermediate to advanced skill level in Accounting and Database Software. Ā· Understanding and familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Ā· Supervisory/management experience. Ā· Active Catholic in good standing is preferred, though familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is required.
