Uses organizational diagnostics (e.g., surveys, workforce analysis, HR compliance reporting, etc.) to proactively identify and react to key talent/associate engagement challenges and opportunities in the businesses.
• Participates in the interview and selection process for location people leaders to ensure consistent quality of leadership.
• Supports talent assessment and development discussions with the Network HR Business Partner and location leaders. Identifies talent across multiple locations for strategic developmental opportunities.
• Drives conversations with location teams on sourcing, recruiting and staffing plans (e.g., spring, seasonal conversions) and partners with Talent Acquisition team to determine and support hiring plans for each assigned location.
• Identifies inconsistent communications, messaging, HR processes and practices, and develops a plan to align with company strategy, ensuring expected results.
• In partnership with the Network HR Business Partner, supports all aspects of HR during new location openings, closings or relocations.

Required Qualifications:

How you'll contribute
Director of Business Development (DBD) who excels in this role:
Implements a comprehensive business plan to ensure Census and Mix Forecasts are met and/or exceeded. The business plan will include and identify internal and external targets (by specific referral groups and percentages); insurance rate targets (averages) and action plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the Clinical Liaison Team. The business plan will be accessed and updated no less than quarterly to ensure that all business indicators are met
Will be the managing director over the clinical liaison and admissions teams
Develops, organizes and maintains a database system for decision support information including identification of community needs; demand forecasting; utilization of programs and services; competitive analysis; medical staff utilization trends. Utilizes software tools including the Lifepoint Hospital information systems together with internal data and external database information for statistical analysis
Ensures appropriateness of patient selection; assists patients/families in making informed admission decisions
Create and implement comprehensive marketing plans and programs annually and on an as needed basis for the facility's long- and short-term goals
Interfaces directly with managed care providers, key physicians and other program delivery personnel providing expertise in the development and implementation of business plans, situation analysis documents and feasibility studies to evaluate opportunities for new joint or shared program and/or service offering, and new product-line development, product enhancement and product differentiation in the competitive market environment
Consistently interfaces with Referral Sources, Case Managers and Managed Care Providers to create to achieve maximum revenue generation for the hospital while maintaining environment of quality care for the patient

What you'll do:
Risk Program Advisory & Execution: Advise business partners on Process Risk and Control Inventory (PRCI) documentation standards, risk mitigation, control design, and evidence requirements. Ensure process procedures are current, auditable, and business owners are supported. Coordinate RCSA and RIAP results (remediation plans, milestones, metrics) and track closure with clear owner accountability. Support the Issues Management lifecycle (identification, root-cause analysis, corrective action, validation, closure) and maintain the Operational Loss program (event collection, categorization, root-cause attribution, data quality, reporting).
Key Performance Indicator (KPI)/Key Risk Indicator (KRI) Design & Performance Insight: Implement business KPIs and KRIs to quantify process and control performance, timeliness, accuracy, and member impact. Ensure owners define metrics and thresholds, enabling automated monitoring where possible. Translate insights into clear, executive-ready narratives and action plans.
Control Environment Assessment & Improvement: Assess control efficiency, identify gaps/failures, and recommend remediation strategies. Prepare for and support internal/external audits and regulatory exams, coordinating documentation and responses with owners.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Serve as a trusted advisor to Business Operations, Process Owners, IT, Compliance, and Risk Management, influencing through strong relationships. Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and readouts, simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
