The Naval Business Unit of SAIC is currently looking for a technically skilled and detail-oriented Mid-level Business Intelligence Engineer to support a new 5-year contract award on the TSO contract with the United States Marine Corps (USMC). The Mid-level Business Intelligence Engineer will provide BI engineering support for the Marine On-line BIS. Tasks are to be performed within two-week sprints for one MOL database within the IBM Cognos Analytics and Planning Analytics components.
Note: this position is 100% remote.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Administrates the BI applications.
* Provides a stable production environment that meets performance needs and make adjustments as needed.
* Resolve production issues in a timely manner including on-call support as needed and maintain audit/security.
* Working with other internal and external resources, plan and manage BI system implementations and upgrades, license management, security, and future/additional product evaluations for the business intelligence applications as needed.
* Maintain and monitor all BI environments including development, test, production, and disaster recovery.
* Design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions for the organization or client, helping to build the infrastructure and tools required to support and improve a new and/or fast growing business and to achieve data reporting and analysis goals.
* Collaborate effectively with and support internal end-users, cross-functional software development teams, Database Administrators and Developers, and technical support and/or sustaining engineering teams to solve problems, implement new solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards of system availability and reliability.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
