Business support managers oversee the daily operations of a business enterprise. They supervise employees and evaluate their performance, analyze the workflow to understand its ups and downs, and suggest improvements wherever necessary.

As a business support manager, you will represent your company in interactions with vendors and create long-lasting business relationships with them. You will also be expected to guide your staff in tricky situations and provide information on business operations to higher management. You must understand the nuts and bolts of your business to do this job right.

Essentially, your role will be to improve productivity and increase the profitability of the business. You might be tasked with supporting financial operations, researching the market, or finding new business opportunities. Training the staff and setting production goals will be your job, too.

There is more than meets the eye when it comes to being a business support manager. For example, did you know that they make an average of $52.91 an hour? That's $110,054 a year!

Between 2018 and 2028, the career is expected to grow 6% and produce 150,600 job opportunities across the U.S.
