Join the Cottage Health team as an
Practice Transformation Consultant.
In this role you will serve as a process management and improvement consultant to the ambulatory clinic operations for Cottage Health. The focus of the position is to research and analyze complex issues surrounding clinic, operational and business process workflows within diverse clinic settings. Additional highlights of the role include:

• Develops strategies for infrastructure level recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency, and practices within clinic operations.
• Assists in the setup of new clinics and services as well as oversees the transition of clinic workflows from affiliating practices as we migrate to a standard operating model.
• Facilitates workshops and change initiatives to simulate and test improvements and communicate changes and/or develop training to the impacted staff roles and functions.
• Functions independently to identify and analyze performance metrics and coordinates with clinic managers to align improvement strategies to the strategic and operational plans of the various ambulatory departments and clinics. Coordinates efforts with Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, ITS, and other departments to assure operational processes align with larger system goals, processes, and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:


LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum: A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university or eight (8) years of applicable and progressively responsible work experience.

Preferred: Master's degree

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Minimum: Epic ambulatory experience.

Preferred: Epic Certification; Formal training in project management and process improvement methodologies; and/or additional certification in LEAN or Six Sigma

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Knowledge and experience with a range of process improvement methodologies; ability to facilitate group and end-user process mapping and redesign efforts. Comfort with the interrelationship between healthcare IT and operational workflows in the clinical setting.

Preferred: Experience in an organization using an Epic EMR

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: Five (5) years of experience in ambulatory care operations and/or consulting with operations leaders in different ambulatory clinical care environments. Demonstrated success with process improvement, project management and workflow redesign.

The clients will rely on you as a trusted agent to identify and anticipate their needs and propose solutions. You'll provide a holistic view of their organization and assess the impacts of alterations. Thankfully, that's what you do: transform an organization to become more effective and efficient with analyzing, designing, and laying the groundwork for opportunities in doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership, personnel, facilities, and processes.

You Have:

* 2+ years of experience in a consulting environment doing process improvement, organizational design, organizational change management, or performance optimization

* 1+ years of experience in the facilitation of process improvement or business and organizational transformation workshops, sessions, or off-sites, including facilitation with senior and executive leaders

* 1+ years of experience with implementation plan design and execution for small- and large-scale engagements

* Experience working with a team using Lean or Six Sigma concepts and methods

* Experience with data gathering and analysis, including quantitative and qualitative analysis

* Ability to conduct research and utilize qualitative and quantitative data to formulate findings and recommendations

* Ability to develop relationships, impart highly valued knowledge and trusted advice, interact directly with clients, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, adapt to constantly changing requests, and apply critical thinking to a wide variety of problems to derive insights

* Secret clearance

* Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

* Knowledge of military organizations, including Department of the Air Force, US Space Force, or other DoD, federal, or government organizations

* Change Management, Project Management, Agile, Knowledge Management, Data Analytics, Organizational Design, or Design Thinking Certification

* Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Green Certification from ASQ, IASCC, or other certifying authority

* Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) or PMP Certification

The individual will come either from a top-tier management consulting firm or industry and will be a strong leader with at least 5 years of related work experience.

• Create and manage measurement systems to track effectiveness, utilization and proficiency of individual project efforts

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years experience in a mix of operating model experience, change management, project management, and/or process improvement
• Prior management consulting experience in a project-based, client-facing environment; ideally across multiple industries;
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• Ability to apply structured approaches and methodologies to your project work
• Ability to actively manage and communicate risk
• Ability to develop a set of actionable and targeted project plans or project strategies as necessary
• Urgency, positivity, growth mindset, and collaborative team player
