The busser is responsible for assisting wait staff and bartenders with upkeep of tables and service areas. When a party departs, a busser removes dirty dishes, sanitizes the table, cleans the seats and tidies up the surrounding floor/table area. Responsibilities
Remove used/unnecessary plates while guests are still seated at the table
Remove extra place settings at the table or provide any additional settings as needed
Prepare tables for the next round of service by removing all plates and glasses
Sanitize the table and surrounding area for its next turn
Reset place settings: complete with silverware, water glasses, and bread plate, etc.
Restock and assist with maintenance of expo/servers' stations, glass washing area, etc.
Empty trash containers and dirty dish receptacles
Assist with refilling ice for bar service station
Skills
Strong customer service skills and pleasant rapport with dining guests

Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
Keep designated service stations clean and well stocked.
Be compliant with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED.
Experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred.
ServSafe Certification or equivalent preferred.
Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers.

Bussers enhance the experience for our guests by creating a comfortable, clean, and organized atmosphere. They work magic with a sense of urgency to clear and clean tables as fast as possible to get each guest in quickly, allowing them to fully enjoy the dining experience.
In addition, our bussers:
Keep floors swept or vacuumed and free from debris.
Assist in clearing plates, glassware, and silverware from guests when they are finished.
Assist servers in retrieving items for guests when needed.
Restock glassware and silverware.
Keep common areas (including lobby and restrooms) clean and tidy.
Communicate with staff at the front when tables are clean and ready to be seated.
Can work and communicate with other team members towards a common goal of our guest having the best experience possible.
Support other tasks as needed (i.e., organizing and bagging to-go orders)
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Perform opening/closing and on shift side work and maintenance properly.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Use correct cleaning chemicals, for designated items, and company provided personal protective equipment according to OSHA regulations.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
Keep designated service stations clean and well stocked.
Be compliant with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED.
Experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred.
ServSafe Certification or equivalent preferred.

Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
