Responsibilities:
Maintain safety and sanitation requirements as per the Health Department and restaurant standards

Set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies
Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning

Qualifications:
Must have or be able to obtain a CA Food Handlers Certificate
Ability to transport a service tray balanced with beverages, water and glassware, and plates of various size and shape.
Previous knowledge of food service, safety, and sanitation regulations as per Health Department
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy; ability to lift overhead

BUSSER RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare for guests by cleaning and setting tables
Set up any seasonal decorations, candles, or tablecloths
Greet guests, and if needed, escort guests to tables
Assist guests by providing menus; keep menus clean and presentable
Bathroom checks
Place and replace silverware, as needed
Remove guests dirty dishes and utensils
Assist dishwashers to scrape, stack, or load dishes into dishwasher, as needed
Vacuum, sweep, or mop dining room
Remove trash and recycling
Clean up guest spills, as needed
Clear table as guests complete their meals and prepare tables for next guests
Follow and maintain all sanitation and safety procedures
Perform closing activities such as cleaning chairs and tables, stacking chairs, preparing stations for morning shift
Perform additional tasks to support overall success of restaurant
BUSSER REQUIREMENTS
MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGETO APPLY
Must be able to obtain Riverside Food Handlers Card
Must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service Certificate
Must have at least 1 year of Busser and/or Restaurant Experience
Able to move and clean quickly in a fast-paced environment
Friendly people-person
Always keeping a positive and upbeat attitude.
Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
Must speak fluent English; Excellent verbal communication
Works well and efficiently under pressure
Flexibility and willing to work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and split shifts
Reliability and Punctuality is a must
Takes pride in professional appearance
Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
Activities include, but are not limited to, walking, or standing for 6 to 8 hours at a time, reaching, stooping, lifting or carrying 25 or more pounds, carrying, talking, sitting,
able to wipe down bar, tabletops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from floor; able to push vacuum or mop.
