This is a unique role as it has dual/equal responsibilities for 2 Marriott Worldwide (MVW) AAA resorts, for our Sheraton Vistana Resort and Sheraton Vistana Villages brands. The buyer focuses on a specific discipline either engineering or housekeeping but is interchangeable. Experience in a high-volume buying environment is helpful.

The buyer is solely responsible for ensuring orders are placed in a timely manner, inventory levels are monitored (physically and electronically), pars are reviewed both physically and electronically (Adaco/Birchstreet).

The buyer is also responsible for following corporate direction regarding Purchasing Programs i.e., Avendra, use of Pcard. Ultimately the role is to produce requisitions for inventory items that management have established pars for.

Additionally, the buyer is required to perform maintenance within the system and across resorts. This means ensuring prices are updated, pars are adjusted seasonally, vendor contact information is current etc.

Key Accountabilities:

* Creating and editing documents using Microsoft Office products, to include Excel
* Prioritizing your workload and working to achieve deadlines, whilst managing business expectations
* Thinking strategically to drive the purchasing agenda, delivering on value and quality
* Interfacing and leading cross functional teams
* Ensuring specified supplier delivery commitments are reflected in SAP, responding to supplier enquiries and managing adherence of schedule lines
* Understanding load and capacity constraints within a supplier that may impact performance and delivery

Basic Requirements:

* Associate`s degree with 3+ years' experience in production planning and/or control within an Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics or Purchasing environment OR;
* A Bachelor`s degree with 1+ years' experience in production planning and/or control within an Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics or Purchasing environment OR;
* A Master`s degree with 0+ years' experience in production planning and/or control within an Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics or Purchasing environment OR;
* In lieu of degree 5+ years' experience in production planning and/or control within an Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics or Purchasing environment
* In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship

Preferred Requirements:

* SAP experience
* Experience with FAR15 and FAR12 us Government purchasing requirements
* Experience in aerospace component repair and aftermarket

Lead Operational Buyer

Your Day to Day:

* Lead procurement for issuance of purchase orders for the Fuels Operations at designated site and area of responsibility:
* PO Processing and Administration
* Supplier Delivery Management (OTD)
* Invoice Resolution
* Operational Excellence
* Support and Utilise Business Systems and Tools
* Supplier Data Management
* Approved Supplier Oversight and Maintenance
* Data Analysis, KPI's and Reporting
* Adherence to policies and procedures

* Requests for quotations through RFQ/RFP and other methods, analyzing supplier proposals as appropriate, pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions aligned to our standards for materials, equipment, components, and services for assigned commodities
* Manage the procurement process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and delivery
* Drive for low turnaround processing of requisitions and delivery of material per our stakeholders
* Facilitate purchase order change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, ASL renewals, termination notices)
* Reconcile invoice discrepancies working with AP and the supplier.
* Have experience with managing supplier relations, resolving issues and improving supplier performance. Negotiating resolution of scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes
* Maintain accurate status, documentation, and data for each allocated purchase order in SAP and other management system

Required to be successful in the role:

* Very good communication & negotiation skills and ability to build relationships
* Proficient use of SAP or equivalent ERP system is required
* Data Analytical and reporting skills with an eye for details
* Ability to multitask, work under pressure and proactively identify and solve issues
* Knowledge of Procurement end-to-end processes, such as P2P (Procure to Pay),
* Experience in making decisions required to deliver expected services with quality and on time.
* Proficient in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is desirable
* Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers is desirable.
