This is a unique role as it has dual/equal responsibilities for 2 Marriott Worldwide (MVW) AAA resorts, for our Sheraton Vistana Resort and Sheraton Vistana Villages brands. The buyer focuses on a specific discipline either engineering or housekeeping but is interchangeable. Experience in a high-volume buying environment is helpful.

The buyer is solely responsible for ensuring orders are placed in a timely manner, inventory levels are monitored (physically and electronically), pars are reviewed both physically and electronically (Adaco/Birchstreet).

The buyer is also responsible for following corporate direction regarding Purchasing Programs i.e., Avendra, use of Pcard. Ultimately the role is to produce requisitions for inventory items that management have established pars for.

Additionally, the buyer is required to perform maintenance within the system and across resorts. This means ensuring prices are updated, pars are adjusted seasonally, vendor contact information is current etc.

Key Accountabilities:

* Creating and editing documents using Microsoft Office products, to include Excel

* A Master`s degree with 0+ years' experience in production planning and/or control within an Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics or Purchasing environment OR;
* In lieu of degree 5+ years' experience in production planning and/or control within an Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics or Purchasing environment

* Ability to multitask, work under pressure and proactively identify and solve issues
* Knowledge of Procurement end-to-end processes, such as P2P (Procure to Pay),
* Experience in making decisions required to deliver expected services with quality and on time.
* Proficient in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is desirable
* Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers is desirable.
