We are currently seeking a bilingual Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara as part of the LG R&D Lab organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Sourcing new suppliers and technologies in the areas of:
Quality, Cost, Delivery in HW, SW, Mechanical Parts, Raw Materials, etc. Market Intelligence:
Researching and reporting major semi-conductor suppliers, service providers, automotive manufacturers and consumer electronics related to LGE business through various channels including media. Research and reporting in areas including quarterly sales records, semi-conductor industry news and trends, foundry reports, automotive and consumer electronics latest trends including acquisitions, investments, blackouts, etc. Managing procurement/purchasing issues with suppliers such as deliveries and shortages. Collaborate with HQ procurement team to resolve SCM issues in North America including areas such as supply disruption, price negotiation, etc. Provide on-site support to HQ employees traveling to the R&D Lab on business trips.



Job Requirements and Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science related field. 3-5 years of experience working in the semi-conductor or IT industry in the areas of Engineering, Procurement, Planning, SCM, Market Intelligence. Some fluency in Korean is required

In this role, you will act as the first line of defense for procurement. You will perform tactical problem solving and mitigation activities while partnering with the relevant Category Management professionals to communicate progress to the business. This role is responsible for executing tasks related to compliance, contracts, vendor setup, supplier performance management, and ensure supply. Additionally, you will support Category Management professionals in achieving their category objectives; this will be done by mining data, collecting information, and distilling insights that can be used to identify value creation opportunities. Depending on your respective category alignment, category management responsibility may fall at either the localized or global level. Select category manager activities (e.g., coordination with suppliers and Nestrade buyers) may be required and dependent on category complexity.

Role level and category alignment dependent on applicable category experience, category complexity, supplier fragmentation, total spend, and other relevant factors.
• Take actions to ensure supply for assigned categories

Keep up to date on ensure supply issues Access, review, and complete system requests as required Drive achievement of supplier performance metrics and agreed upon KPIs

• Support Category Management professionals in executing Nestle's 7-Step Strategic Souring Process in the North American market, enabling value generation through sustainability, innovation, and cost improvements for Nestle business units

• Provide updates to Category Management professionals and Nestrade buyers to guarantee clear communication and alignment on ensure supply activities and issues

Leverage opportunities to lower total cost of ownership or increase value to the business while ensuring supply
Use PowerBI to access reports and data related to compliance, contracts, vendor setup, and supplier performance management
Use information, analytics, and reporting tools to perform supplier market analysis, category analysis, and supply risk analysis Leverage GLOBE and other reporting and problem-solving tools to identify areas for improvement and drive solutions Analyze spend data and cross-functional impacts to assist Category Management professionals and calculate TCO Carry out timely forecasting of future purchase price, including the benefits of cost improvement projects; serve as owner of cost savings initiatives as required Execute duties with Purchase Price Variance (PPV) including localization and cost impact of projects

• Leverage principles of project management to deliver functional commitments and goals

Demonstrate ability to link day-to-day priorities to OMP/Roadmap key priorities and perform basic tasks related to project execution with help from Procurement professionals Create MEK1 conditions in SAP

Experience/Education:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in applicable fields required Knowledge of and experience with global procurement and sourcing processes, legal contract negotiations, and contract management systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, SAP, Ariba, and I-Nexus experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the Procure-to-Pay end-to-end process.
• Oversee purchasing, resolve purchasing order discrepancies, perform periodic purchasing data reviews, audit, and monitor daily purchase order and accounts payable reports.
• Address and resolve receiving, invoice, and purchase order issues; audit invoices as requested; support the match exception and vendor add process.
• Execute or assist with correcting receiving discrepancies and verifying discrepancies of drop-ship orders.
• Serve as the sole point of contact for item creation, deletion, or maintenance in the Local Item Master tracking program.
• Manage inventory and storerooms.
• Run system reports as requested, assist Accounts Payable as related to BirchStreet and train new associates on BirchStreet.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of BirchStreet and PeopleSoft Finance and Excel, including pivot tables.
• Experience working with 3rd party invoice processors.
• An understanding of purchasing and payment processes and procedures; three years of purchasing or inventory planning experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of purchasing, accounts payable, and inventory management processes.
• Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, analysis, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; project management skills are a plus.
