·Team Lead
Provides oversight to buyers, assisting with in assigning and checking work of team members, maintaining schedules, and providing functional guidance. Follows and enforces compliance to departmental and CCHMC policies and procedures. May develop strategies, identify possible new sources of supply and work with Contract Agents in developing recommendations. Oversees the contract compliances with GPO and NDC management in all areas. Builds and maintains collaborative internal and external relationships.. Trains and assists in on-boarding of new team members, external buying teams and eProcurement requisitioners. Provides cross coverage for all buyers

·Process Improvement
Leads the fulfillment of required fiscal year end processes and other projects as assigned. Assesses needs and develops plans for projects and departmental goals. Develops and executes documentation for test scripts, business processes, and training for PeopleSoft upgrades or enhancements. Reports outcomes in testing functionality, maintains and updates documentation. Assists in development and delivery of training.
·Billing
Develop, maintain and report Buyer metrics and assists in meeting quality standards. Inspects invoices and troubleshoots issues related to payments, application of credits, payment terms, duplicate billing, invoices discrepancies, and Match Exceptions. Collaborates with team members, cross functional peers, customers, distribution partners and suppliers to identify, test, implement, and document improvements to work processes.
·Functional Expert
Serves as a functional expert for the team. Applies advanced knowledge and skill while performing duties of a Buyer. Applies expertise in Materials Management IS system and Purchasing policies in coaching Buyers in acquisition of department specific knowledge, skills, and abilities. May provide feedback regarding employee performance to the Director. Develop and maintain training manuals and business process documents to accommodate changes in the procurement process. Trains and assists in on-boarding of new team members, external buying teams and eProcurement requisitioners. Serves as the primary point of contact for eProcurement system related issues for triage and escalation purposes. May also be responsible for the purchasing of the high cost drugs (Gene Therapies and Infusions) and the drugs purchased from Direct vendors (non-wholesale).
·Data Compliance
Ability to apply technical knowledge and principles to evaluate and address business issues or opportunities and to meet the reporting needs of the department. Computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Business Professional programs, Word, Excel, Outlook, SnagIt, Adobe, etc. Assists in maintaining proper EDI compliant data for smooth data processing internally and externally with suppliers including ship to account information, PO dispatch methods, inbound POA receipts and inbound invoice receipts. Oversees shortages in all locations Identify other sources of supply and communicate to appropriate leadership if needed.

Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
·Bachelor's degree in a related field
· 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Your Opportunity

The Buying Station Lead is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the buying station. This position requires supervision of hog handling positions as well as facility management. The Buying Station Lead acts in the absence of the Station Manager. This position is in Courtland, VA.

Core Responsibilities

* Oversees daily receipts and shipments of livestock. Ensures accurate grading procedures are applied by hourly staff. Also ensures adequate staffing is present for each shift.
* Assists Station Manager with facility operations and maintenance.
* Assists Station Manager with daily paperwork and reporting.
* Ensures all duties and responsibilities of staff are carried out on farm.
* Maintains farm performance at acceptable levels, communicates policies and procedures with staff on other farms.
* Reviews pig placement and sales schedules with Station Manager.
* Reviews herd health and facilities with staff and reports to supervisor; maintains animal care guidelines.
* Compiles or maintains access to records for complex sorting and grading of animals.
* Ensures farms' R & M needs are reviewed and reported to supervisor.
* Responds immediately to any environmental problems, also reports these to supervisor and LNM.
* Incumbent will be responsible for understanding and complying with company EMS policies and procedures in the performance of their job duties.
* Accounts for company assets such as tools, tractors, equipment, etc.
* Performs other duties as specified by supervisor.
