Ensuring active contributions to the PPAP process.
Experience:
10+ years of strategic purchasing experience (supplier sourcing, negotiation, etc.) from the automotive or similar heavy manufacturing industry

Job Purpose
Ensure the supply of spare parts in terms of quality, quantity, time, and price. This includes managing the ordering process for spare parts, machinery, and equipment requested by the manufacturing departments, always seeking price optimization and timely deliver.
Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks
Work with the main users to fulfill the plant request for indirect products/services according to the compliance guidelines.
Receive authorized requisitions and create purchase orders for spare parts and materials requested by the manufacturing area or generate by MRP.
Conduct quotations based on the purchasing policy for materials or services requested by users.
Place purchase orders and follow up on their delivery and total receipt of goods or services.
Coordinate and ensure compliance in the acquisition of spare parts and materials necessary to cover emergencies in the manufacturing area.
Create and nurture commercial relations with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Follow up with vendors on delivery times, import and transportation process.
Organize and prioritize your own workload.
Support with managing inventory levels through transactional tasks.
Resolve invoices in SAP, last payment, vendor set up.
Be an agent for change and continuously challenge the status quo.

Job Requirements
Requires moderate computer skills and attention to detail and customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP
Ability to read and interpret technical information, mostly for spare parts

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Additionally, the Buyer is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to improve efficiency and deliver quality, supply, and cost performance across factories while maintaining all regulatory mandates for materials. + Category Management and Procurement for the purchase of all direct materials for the Region
+ Drives and delivers commercial agreements optimizing value for money.
+ Adheres to standard procurement processes.
