The Engine Mounts Engineer owns the design and hardware for the components that attach the engine to the aircraft. Responsibilities include performing static structural analysis, stress and strength analysis, low cycle fatigue and crack growth analyses, substantiating and dispositioning hardware non-conformances, managing interfaces with internal and external customers, and preparing and presenting in technical and program reviews. **Job Description** **Roles and Responsibilities** As an Engine Mounts Engineer, you will: + Lead projects and initiatives of moderate scope, complexity, and impact. + Execute the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures, and the product/program requirements. + Evaluate loads from both the engine and the airframer. + Apply loads to size hardware based on strength, LCF, damage tolerance/fatigue, fire and other design requirements. + Write Certification reports for both FAR33 and FAR25. + Provide sustaining support for fielded hardware; MRB, DR, VSE, etc. + Interface with adjacent hardware owners and airframers. + Perform structural analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) in support of new engine designs and fielded products. + Prepare and present technical information to internal and external customers. + Document and communicate Engine Mounts design, analysis, and test data. + Share engineering information, lessons learned, and promote open dialogue. + Prepare invention disclosures for technology that provides a competitive advantage. + Assure proper documentation of technical data for assigned projects. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with an emphasis in structural design and design optimization. + Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
