Job Description
We offer high-quality ABA services on a multidisciplinary team to children ages 2-21 years old in the center and in-home environments.
Provide direct 1:1 or small group therapy to children and young adults with autism consistent with the treatment plan under the direction of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Maintain targeted caseload hours of therapy per week.
Collect and maintain accurate records of client performance through data collection and insurance notes in an online data collection platform. Ensure billing for all appointments through online platform session conversion within a specified period.
Implementation of treatment plans across multiple environments, including center, home, and community. Travel to the client's home and community required.
Toilet training and diaper changing may be required.
Qualifications:
Completion of RBT eligibility requirements and pass the RBT certification examination preferred
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age by date of hire
Bachelor's degree and/or enrolled in psychology, communication disorders, education or related field preferred.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
Maintain a comprehensive therapy plan for each client while maintaining a 45 sessions per week scheduled caseload unless otherwise directed by Sr. Director - Speech and Occupational Therapy/COO.
Speech and feeding session durations are scheduled for 30-minute appointments with frequency determined based on clinical recommendations.
Documentation responsibilities include: pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, re-evaluations, insurance reports, progress reports, and SOAP notes.
Templates for all documentation are available on the electronic database system used across the company.
Provide individual therapy to clients focusing on a variety of areas including: speech, language, feeding, AAC, and social skills.
Participate in collaboration with BCBAs, OTs, outside providers, and families to provide a consistent continuum of care for clients.
Maintain current certification with state specific licensing board and with American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA) while abiding by the ethical standards.
Represent BY YOUR SIDE to local ,state, and national organizations in a positive manner when attending professional seminars.
Provide input and assist in the ongoing growth and development of BY YOUR SIDE.
Travel, as necessary, to other centers to participate in required trainings such as CPR, CPI, and professional development.
Uphold and maintain BYS core principles, policies and procedures and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Certifications Required
The following certifications and licensure are required for this position:
Permanent licensure provided by the state specific licensing board.
Temporary license must be obtained prior to starting Clinical Fellowship year if applicable.
Illinois: Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
Certificate of Clinical Competence as provided by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), if not in Clinical Fellowship Year.

Job Description
Participate in an initial multidisciplinary evaluation process to help evaluate new clients.
Evaluate, create, and maintain a comprehensive therapy plan for each client.
Provide individual therapy to clients focusing on a variety of areas including but not limited to: fine and gross motor, sensory processing, feeding and social skills.
Interact with and educate caregivers on helpful therapy approaches and in-home strategies to facilitate generalization of skills.
Provide team-based, collaborative approach for therapy planning and implementation.
Maintain current Illinois license, NBCOT certification, and necessary continuing education requirements.
Adhere to the ethical standards of the profession- AOTA and ILOTA guidelines and ensure HIPAA Compliance.
Supervise support personnel COTAs/OTAs and interns when necessary.
Other Duties and special projects as assigned.
Direct Therapy Responsibilities
Provide a minimum of 32 hours of therapy per week.
Maintain timely professional documentation of clinical notes for direct patient care provided.
Completion of documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, assessments, insurance reports, and progress reports.
Qualifications
Master s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
State Licensed Occupational Therapist.
Must complete and maintain certification in Safety Care training (Will train on site).
CPR/First Aid Certified or will train on site.
Knowledge of discipline specific assessment tools and procedures
Ability to think critically, solve problems, and deliver therapy independently.
Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute on deadlines and produce high quality deliverables with attention to details.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for enforcing standards for ABA Therapy to maintain BY YOUR SIDE s high quality of care for clients and families.
Provide direct 1:1 or small group therapy to children and young adults with autism consistent with the treatment plan under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor.
Maintain targeted caseload hours of therapy per week.
Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
Implement treatment plans across multiple domains, including communication, social behavior, learner readiness skills, self-care, replacement behavior and behavior reduction as instructed by the Clinical Supervisor.
Passionately motivates clients by adapting activities to their preferences.
Calmly respond intentionally and in alignment with the client Behavior Intervention Plan to challenging behavior.
Assist with assessments, under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, when they have assured proper training and administration of such assessment tools (i.e., VBMAPP, ABLLS).
Assist with maintaining order and safety among the clients in the therapy environment.
Assist other personnel with related tasks as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in completion of their work activities and for the enhancement of daily operations of the therapy center. Provide session coverage for clients (One Time Move) as needed.
Participate in staff meetings, team meetings, and collaborate with a team of multi-disciplinary therapists to coordinate, communicate relevant information, and implement high quality therapy.
Participate in training provided to increase professional knowledge by attending in person, through video conferencing, and/or watching the recorded training(s).
Completion of all assignments related to staff meetings and training (e.g., ABA meetings) by due date, including make-up assignments.
Completion of daily activities/routines within the center (i.e., opening/closing procedures, cleaning, organization and creation of session materials, assisting other therapists, etc.).
Collect and maintain accurate records of client performance through data collection and insurance notes on an online data collection platform. Ensure billing for all appointments through online platform session conversion within a specified period.
Implementation of treatment plans across multiple environments including centers, homes, and communities. Travel to the home and community may be required.
Toilet training and diaper changing may be required.

Uphold and maintain BYS core principles, policies, and procedures.
Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Bachelor's degree and/or enrolled in psychology, communication disorders, education or relatedfield preferred.
High interest and willingness to learn about, understand and work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Eagerness to learn about Applied Behavior Analysis and grow as a Behavior Technician.
Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.
Knowledge of sensory and behavioral strategies, preferred.
Ability to communicate proactively, timely, effectively and professionally with a variety of stakeholder types (clients, parents, Operations Team members, Behavior Analysts, Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists).

Participate in collaboration with BCBAs, OTs, outside providers, and families to provide a consistent continuum of care for clients.
Maintain current certification with state specific licensing board and with American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA) while abiding by the ethical standards.
Represent BY YOUR SIDE to local ,state, and national organizations in a positive manner when attending professional seminars.
Provide input and assist in the ongoing growth and development of BY YOUR SIDE.
Travel, as necessary, to other centers to participate in required trainings such as CPR, CPI, and professional development.

Certifications Required
The following certifications and licensure are required for this position:
