The Facilities Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining our facility's infrastructure to ensure smooth operations and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. *Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM. *Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance tasks on facility equipment and systems including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, and production machinery. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations to support uninterrupted production schedules. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to production. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory. Adhere to health and safety and GMP guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in the implementation of facility improvement projects and upgrades. Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives where possible. Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements: Education/Certifications and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC, electrical, or related fields preferred. Proven experience as a Facilities Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role in a food manufacturing environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Solid understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
