POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This purpose of this position is to carry out daily operations & maintenance tasks associated with pipeline, compressor station compliance and maintenance of Texas Gas at the Haughton, LA location as well as Sharon, LA as necessary. This position will be responsible for environmental, health & safety and reliability for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system. Some specific duties will consist of compressor maintenance, reading rectifiers, valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, one-calls, preventive pipeline maintenance, valve site and right of way maintenance. Technician will be assisting with construction and repairs of pipelines and associated facilities if needed. Successful candidate will be required to maintain residence within 30 miles of the Texas Gas Haughton, LA compressor station.

You'll oversee a team of skilled mechanical technicians across multiple U.S. locations, ensuring they're equipped, motivated, and aligned with company goals. This position is based in the field in the region specified on the job posting and will report directly to the Area Manager for that region.
You'll make an impact by:
Emergency Readiness: Ensure 24/7 on-call coverage and emergency response capabilities within your region.
Customer Relations: Serve as the primary liaison between the company and clients, fostering transparency and ownership of regional KPIs.
Inventory Management: Ensure storage unit and truck counts are accurate
Scheduling Excellence: Manage and adjust schedules to meet operational priorities.
Safety First: Perform safety audits and ensure safety standards are followed.
Technical Development: Coordinate training for technicians in safety, maintenance, and operational techniques.
First Point of Escalation: Mentor team members to close skill gaps and encourage professional development, provide first line of support.
Regional Ownership: Ensure audits are conducted to ensure all aspects of technical proficiency, site preservation, vehicles maintenance, and inventory are all up to the Regional Area Manager's and Enchanted Rock's standard.
Requirements
What you'll need:
Experience - at least 5 Years Mechanical and/or Electrical
Education Level - preferred College or Equivalent Training (i.e. Military)
Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport materials, equipment, or personnel to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Successfully pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check to ensure compliance with company standards and safe driving practices.
Scheduling Expertise: Experience managing schedules to meet operational demands.
Commitment: Availability for on-call responsibilities during high-demand periods.
Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to finding and implementing practical solutions.
Detail Oriented: Ability to ensure the proper resources are applied to the issue.
Additional Requirements:
Reside in the area of job posting and commute to the Houston office when requested.
Acceptable driving record and ability to travel for business purposes.
Physical ability to work in field environments, including adverse weather conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing a ladder, and performing physically demanding tasks.
