The PROS of working at Bass Pro Cabela's are the atmosphere created by management. The Store Manager, as well as Assistant Managers, is one of FAMILY. The promotion of doing things, whether it be stocking or paperwork or customer assistance, well is a foregone conclusuon. The "tasks" are always approached with a zest of doing it completely right. After the task, or customer service, is completed you know it was done correctly. This mental attitude is associated with management's emphasis of, " a job dine well is a job well done."
The cons of working at Cabela's are hard to think of. There are the very rare occassions that some type of task cannot be fully accomplished because of outside influences. ie lack of product; a lack materials; etc. The cons are just not very evident.
My Associate discount
Everything!!! Johnny Morris is an amazing man. He TRULY cares about the people that work at his company. He sets up amazing discounts: Amazing benefits; Unbelievable retirement accounts; etc
I would do NOTHING!!!
Get the information needed; Read through your notes about the company's history; BE YOURSELF during the interview. Do not try to be someone you are not.
BETTER!!!
Very Goid!! The representation for groups is above the grade of most others.
Working hand in hand and side by side with my fellow outfitters.
Huge discounts for a wide variety of brands, huge discounts on bass pro and cabelas branded products.
usually management, mainly corporate. they are very pushy and aggressive on getting credit cards to the point of corporate making all out threats to employees.
discounts
they are hard to like there is a deep disconnect between them and the regular people working in the actual stores
they would need to deeply cut back on the credit card stuff, they really do make employees and customers uncomfortable. and they need to offer way better pay, for what they ask of their employees.
I have experience
greatly below average
couldn't care less
coworkers that have been here for a long time.
They have some of the best discounts offered for a wide variety of brands
The biggest cons are the credit card. I’ve never seen a company push a credit card so hard and absolutely crap on their own employees for not making goals. There is a deep disconnect between the people in corporate and the actual stores.
Discounts
Not much praise can be given
Greatly cut back on their credit card stuff, instead of making threats to employees in the stores for not meeting some goal. They definitely need to up the pay for everyone in the actual stores.

told there are no available hours then the scheduling manager hires 4 or more new cashiers.
