Detailed responsibilities of this position are:
1. Perform the installation, labeling and testing of premise cabling, connections,
patch cords, patch panels, equipment enclosures/cabinets, cable tray, PDS
conduit, and associated hardware.
2. Update cable run sheets and other documentation as required.
3. Serve as the subject matter expert in reading and interpreting system installation
drawings and design packages.
4. Promote a safe work environment and implement safe work practices.
5. Provide guidance and perform quality assurance checks for subordinate cabling
personnel in the installation, of LC, MTRJ, SC and RJ45 connector termination,
and testing of fiber-optic and copper cabling systems, as well as various types of
cable tray, PDS, and Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) conduit up to 4 inches.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
1. Be highly proficient in the installation and testing of premise cabling,
connections, patch cords, patch panels, equipment enclosures/cabinets, cable tray,
PDS conduit, and associated hardware.
2. Must be proficient in the techniques for fusion splicing, termination and outside
plant installation.
3. Understand how to interpret work orders and prints to determine what is required
per project.
4. Be proficient in the use of splicing technology such as OTDRs, VFL, OLTS.
5. Be proficient in the proper handling and installation of LC, MTRJ, SC, RJ45
connector terminations, and testing of fiber-optic and copper cabling systems.

6. Be proficient in the installation of various types of cable tray, PDS, and Electrical
Metallic Tubing (EMT) conduit up to 4 inches.
7. Be capable of leading and instructing a team of cabling technicians, and properly
documenting any red-line changes to drawing packages.
8. Be an effective communicator in coordinating installation work with subordinates
and with office personnel.
9. A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in the installation of copper and fiber[1]optic cable plants is required.
10. Must possess a valid Driver’s License
11. Must Possess a Top-Secret government security clearance.

International (BICSI) Technician, BICSI Installer 2, Copper (INSTC)

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the installation or replacement of cable TV, and digital video/TV, internet, voice, and security products and services for residential and/or commercial subscribers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair cable TV, voice, and internet systems; including internal and external wiring
• Test newly installed or relocated cables according to Company and customer specifications
• Troubleshoot issues with the network communication
• Repair related cable poles and towers
• Install cable support structures, including but not limited to cable racks, j-hooks, and innerduct
• Collaborate with internal customer service to ensure work orders are handled correctly and timely
• Promote a positive relationship between the Company and customer subscribers; escalate matters of concern to local management
