Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be part of our friendly and compassionate Ultrasound team. We are proud to provide the "care like family" mission of the hospital. We are looking for someone to join our team that works hard to support each other where the patients are the center of all we do.
In this role:
You will perform a variety of Ultrasound Procedures and are responsible for exam protocols that provide diagnostic information to the interpreting physician.
You must have a working knowledge of the life-saving techniques and be capable of performing well under pressure.
You will assume the responsibility for specified examinations and will be responsible for introducing the basics of ultrasound to the student technologists.
You will be responsible for assessment, treatment of care appropriate to all ages of patients served.
You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information in terms of the patients' needs.

Responsibilities:
Utilizes clinical reasoning which includes a global grasp of situations, critical thinking, decision-making, critical actions, priority setting, and escalation of concerns with associated knowledge, skills, and evidence-based guidelines in managing computerized tomographic radiograph imaging.
Works on behalf of the patients/significant others in representing their concerns and helping resolve ethical and clinical issues that impact the patient's situation. Uses effective communication to escalate concerns to appropriate one up leader. Goes extra mile to attend to patient exam requests.
Creates a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff with the aim of promoting comfort and healing and preventing unnecessary suffering or harm. Recognizes patient concern and reacts appropriately, including documentation of events.
Educates patient before scanning procedure explaining the procedure and answering patient questions.
Involves multidisciplinary team as well as patient/significant others to promote optimal and realistic goals and outcomes. Works with other departments to create an effective patient exam flow to include avoiding conflicting procedures and delay of patient care as well as effective utilization of limited technical and clinical resources.
Uses high standards and evidence-based practices along with questioning, research, and evaluation skills to provide informed and/or change practice. Properly assesses patient condition for the candidate for imaging. Performs necessary clinical and technical safety checks and screening processes, validates reasons for the exam with the patient before scanning, addresses all safety concerns before scanning, and performs red rules to ensure the right patient/right exam/right order. Understand the importance of performing necessary safety/calibration/quality checks per established protocols. Do not image patients without an order or without performing necessary safety, lab, and conflicting exam reviews.
Other clinic duties as assigned/where applicable.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree
Must have a NM Computed Tomography License (NMCT)
Or NM Computed Tomography Provisional License (NMPCT)
ARRT is required.

Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Surgical Technician in the Operating Room you will deliver high quality, patient centered care as you assist staff during operative and invasive procedures. You will ensure the operating room is adequately prepared for procedures and act as a preceptor for other techs as needed. Our team supports each other like family and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:
You will be competent in the knowledge, skills and abilities to fulfill the scrub technician activities in the operating room as defined by AORN standards.
You will work with Housekeeping and Central Processing staff to clean the Operating Rooms and equipment between patients following facility policies and procedures.
You will participate in safety initiates to ensure correct surgery inpatient identification, and verification of the procedure to be performed within the OR when the patient is present and prior to the surgical prep.
You will rely on previous experience to anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon.
You will count all sponges, needles and instruments with the circulating RN on all surgical procedures done in the Operating Room following facility policies and procedures. In the event a sponge/needle count is incorrect, the circulating RN will inform the attending surgeon and the Anesthesiologist and a course of action will be determined and the action will be documented on the Operating Room Record as defined by facility policies and procedures.
You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well- stocked/organized, and safe patient care environment.
What qualifications you will need:
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
Surgical Technologist Certificate preferred (CST) or equivalent.
Completion of surgical technologist course or comparable experience.
One-year operating room experience preferred.

You will perform a variety of Ultrasound and other Radiologic Procedures across three (3) or more modalities including; Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Angiography.

You must have a working knowledge of the life-saving techniques and be capable of performing well under pressure.
You will assume the responsibility for specified examinations and will be responsible for introducing the basics of ultrasound to the student technologists.
You will be responsible for assessment, treatment of care appropriate to all ages of patients served.
You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information in terms of the patients' needs.
What qualifications you will need:
Current Radiology license through the State of which you will be working.
You must be registered with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or registry eligible.
Graduation from an AMA/CAHEA- Approved school of Ultrasound Technology, either college affiliated or hospital based training. If modalities include NM, must have a certification in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT or NMTCB)
Must be registered with the ARRT- (R) with two (2) or more of the following modalities: RVT, M, NM, CT, MRI, and Angiography Technology.
Three (3) years' experience in all phases of ultrasound, and experience in multiple modalities in Radiology.
