CACI International company history timeline

1963

In 1963, the company won a contract to design an inventory control simulation for the Navy's Ships Parts Control Center in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

1965

The company became one of the first to sell proprietary software with the 1965 release of Simscript 1.5.

1967

The company was renamed Consolidated Analysis Centers Inc. in 1967 as it opened offices in Washington, D.C., and New York City.

1973

In 1973, the acronym alone was adopted as the firm's official name; reflecting the name customers had grown familiar with.

1984

In 1984, Doctor J.P. "Jack" London became the company's president and CEO. London had joined the company 12 years earlier.

1990

He would be named chairman following the death of Herb Karr in 1990.

1992

In July 1992, the company acquired all outstanding shares in American Legal Systems Corporation for approximately $2 million.

1998

Information Decision System was also acquired in 1998.

2000

CACI's acquisition binge continued in February 2000, when it bought XEN Corp., another intelligence community specialist.

2002

2002: The company's stock migrates from the NASDAQ to the New York Stock Exchange.

2003

Another intelligence specialist, Premier Technology Group, Inc., was acquired for $49 million in 2003.

2004

2004: Revenues exceed $1 billion.

2005

Revenues were expected to be $1.5 billion for fiscal 2005.
