Support the deployment and testing of software and respond to testing feedback. Make recommendations and advise on system improvements, automation, and risk management. Interface with other members of the team to ensure they have a clear understanding of system issues and requirements. Support the development of system and user documentation as well as other training materials as appropriate to promote adoption and use of the system. Qualifications: Required: Experience performing application development in a .NET framework for applications with Oracle backends. Experience working with representative users to elicit and refine requirements for system enhancements and other system modifications to improve system functionality and fit-for-purpose. Demonstrated ability to access and query Oracle database data and objects using SQL Plus and SQL Developer. Demonstrated ability to perform application patching, troubleshooting, and performance analysis. Demonstrated possession of verbal and written communication skills to work independently and effectively with the users, stakeholders, and other team members. Reside within a commutable distance to customer site near College Park, MD. Six years of IT experience, plus a bachelor's degree or an additional six years of experience. Possess Top Secret clearance and possess or be able to obtain DOE ‘Q' access. Desired: Experience managing virtual instances and system updates in an AWS environment using remote desktop.This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.     We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning/Computer Vision Engineer with hands-on experience developing algorithms for human understanding and human intelligence applications.Responsibilities include but not limited to:- Adapt state-of-the-art algorithms, as well as design and implement new algorithms to solve challenging problems.- Collaborate with others to drive requirements and validation tests to ship models.- Take a practical approach to problem solving and adapt to an evolving environment.- Deliver clean, modular, testable algorithm code.- Communicate and work effectively with cross-functional partners.The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:- Be highly-motivated and take initiative to achieve goals, while delivering on schedule.- Has a sense of curiosity and willingness to learn new things in order to improve the quality of their solutions.- Works well in a collaborative setting. Minimum Qualifications BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience Software engineering skills and proficiency in Python and PyTorch. Preferred Qualifications MS or PhD in computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, computer science, computer engineering or related fields. Comprehensive understanding of diffusion models, transformers and auto-encoders. Capable of making well-informed and practical decisions in a rapidly evolving environment. Excellent communication and experience working with multi-functional teams. Self-motivated with proven track record to optimally prioritize and deliver tasks on schedule. Good software engineering skills and proficiency in C/C++. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
