**As a Cafe Server, you are responsible for selling by providing exceptional customer service in the Cafe through our cafe service standards\. You make the Cafe experience interactive and engaging by enthusiastically sharing your knowledge about our products and services and meeting the needs of the customer\. You care about and value people and exemplify our core values\.**
## **Essential Functions**

**• Deliver exceptional customer service that ensures sales and high levels of customer satisfaction\.**

**• Execute on the cafe service standards: offer a warm welcome, recommend add\-ons, personalize the customer's order, offer membership, and thank the customer\.**

**• Greet and establish rapport with customers, proactively engaging them in conversations about our Café products, services, and promotions to determine their needs and recommend the right products\.**

**• Ensure all customer transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner\.**

**• Prepare and serve drinks and food in accordance with the Cafe standards and health code\.**

**• Perform all support tasks in the Cafe, including baking, completing prep sheets, cleaning cases and equipment, and restocking displays\.**

**• Use the maintenance checklists throughout the day to maintain Cafe cleanliness\.**

**• Drive sales by engaging all customers in our café and customer sampling of Cafe products\. • Ensure execution and compliance with operational standards for the Cafe\.**

**• Perform all opening and closing tasks\.**

**• Protect Company assets by ensuring the accurate execution of loss prevention procedures, including cashiering and inventory standards, waste logs monitoring, sample recording, coupon redemption and discount and return policies\.**

**• Help orient new café servers, ensuring a smooth acclimation to the store and our bookselling culture\.**

**• Assist in any area of the store as needed\.**

**• Spend the majority of time on the selling floor, which requires physical activity \(i\.e\., prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, climbing\)**

**• Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays to align with store needs**

* Provide quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
* Prepare and serve all juices, bowls, bubble teas, and blended drinks
* Provide customers with product details, such as ingredient blend, allergens or preparation description upon request
* Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
* Operate POS system, including the proper handling of and responsibility for accuracy of cash drawer
* Maintain a clean and organized work space
* Operating, preparing and cleaning of all equipment
* Obtain knowledge of and promote Regal Unlimited & Regal Crown Club Card
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Regular and consistent attendance

Education/Experience:

Completion of required STAR program level 1 required onboarding materials or progress towards completion required.

Language Ability:

Breaking News ! Desert Mountain Club is moving from a gratuity-based wage structure to a higher flat-dollar wage structure for all hourly Food & Beverage positions. Our servers will start at $22 per hour or more depending on experience. This is a guaranteed year-round wage, based on hours worked, without fluctuations in pay due to business levels or seasonality. You will also have the opportunity to advance in pay and position based on merit and performance through annual merit increases and the career ladder (various levels in each position based on performance, skills, and knowledge, i.e., Server 1, Server 2, etc.)

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service and curating the dining experience. This includes maintaining a strong knowledge and understanding of menu items and pairings and tailoring the food and beverage experience to their tastes, executing service from greeting the table to providing the check, all in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant is required. Prior high-end club or resort experience preferred.

• Maintain clean service areas, professional appearance of all clubhouse facilities.
• Proactively assist other team members and fellow servers, as needed.
• Carry food by tray from restaurant to tables and pool deck.
• Communicate and answer questions regarding restaurant and club events, mountain wide in a professional and courteous manner. Direct feedback, questions, and comments to appropriate manager or department.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
