1987

April 18, 1987: The Piano Man himself, Billy Joel, stops at the Cajundome just months before his tour of Russia.

1989

April 22, 1989: Rod Stewart brings his "Out of Order" Tour to the Cajundome.

1990

May 19, 1990: Milli Vanilli lip-syncs to the Cajundome crowd.

July 20, 1990: Public Enemy brings their tour to Lafayette.

1991

April 20, 1991: ZZ Top rocks the Cajundome crowd.

1992

The largest crowd for a basketball game was 11,479 fans on December 16, 1992 when the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns defeated Loyola Marymount.

1995

May 1995: The Eagles soar into the Cajundome

In 1995, an ice rink was added to the arena by raising the concrete floor ten inches and adding eight miles of pumping for antifreeze necessary to freeze the ice.

1999

March 17, 1999: Elton John draws second-biggest crowd to Cajundome

2002

April 2002: Cajundome Convention Center opens.

2007

July 29, 2007: Fan groping at Tim McGraw-Faith Hill concert lands Lafayette on national news

2010

August 2010: Justin Bieber brings My World Tour to Lafayette

2019

In 2019, the CAJUNDOME hosted events including the LA Outdoor Expo and Boat Show, the Monster Truck Tour, WWE Live, and the Acadiana Home and Design Show.
