Position Summary Information
Summary
Responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with individual students that promote student satisfaction and retention. The Student Success Coach I (SSC 1) meets the non-classroom support needs of students by providing direct solutions to student-related problems, where possible, and by acting as a relationship manager to ensure campus partners provide effective solutions when not within the SSC 1's scope. The SSC 1 is the student's principal, if not exclusive, point of contact in the institution, and as such, is responsible for addressing student issues and complaints as they arise. They serve as a student liaison with other functional areas of the organization and assist in developing and maintaining practices that contribute to student satisfaction and retention. They work as part of the retention team under the direct supervision of an Assistant or Associate Director within the University Student Success Coaching Program. Position qualifies to work remotely subject to CBU Telecommuting policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Serve as the students' non-faculty primary point of University contact, develop and build supportive relationships with students through virtual and in-person modalities and efficiently track, trend, and assess student needs.
* Clearly, concisely, and thoroughly advise students on program requirements, academic policies, rules of matriculation, and procedures, assisting with student scheduling and comprehensive degree planning, which may include combinations of academic programs, study abroad, and unforeseen gaps in enrollment and reentry.
* Serve as a primary contributor to the University's knowledge base concerning student needs and recommend updates and/or changes to programs, policies and processes, as needed.
* Initiate and maintain communication to students via all appropriate media, managing outbound activity including the number, type, and nature of student interactions within caseload.
* Participate in re-recruitment campaigns to re-enter withdrawn students into the University.
* Meet retention goals including percentage of active student case load that is retained: (a) from first to second term, (b) first academic year, and graduation.
* Participate in or conduct group event sessions to effectively achieve the University's recruitment, enrollment and retention objectives.
* Meet with chairs and deans on curricular changes, declaration trends, course schedule needs, desired course sequencing, potential career paths, graduate admission requirements, and desired pre-professional and research activities.
* Refer and facilitate student engagement with campus support services.

Establish the best way to stay in touch and communicate with them regularly. Commit to tutoring 1-2x per week (or more!) for at least a semester. Support your student/s through homework help, test prep, and engaging lesson plans. Act as a mentor, not just a tutor.

Position Summary
The Implementation Specialist supports the customer life cycle for Harmony Academy partners, including partner engagement and training. Facilitates professional learning and development, along with additional supports (e.g., coaching and user conferences), for partners and users (K-12 providers such as schools, school districts, and out-of-school time programs) to improve and grow individual and organizational social and emotional learning (SEL) competence to implement Harmony Curriculum and Harmony Professional Learning with quality. As both the Harmony Curriculum and Harmony Professional Learning product and SEL content expert, the Implementation Specialist supports the regional Account Manager and/or Account Executive to ensure implementation success and ongoing commitment across both programs. In partnerships, the incumbent creates a positive user experience and fosters partnerships while building relationships with partners through receipt of expert professional learning and support. Uses approved program training resources to build the capacity of partners through methods such as asynchronous, synchronous, blended, professional learning communities (PLCs), on-site, and national and regional summits while adhering to our content and learning and development process. Serves in a critical role in helping to identify and support the development of professional learning offerings provided by the Professional Learning team.
Essential Functions:
Complete product certification and onboarding to ensure the correct processes are being followed and correct content delivery is maintained.
Develop expertise in the Harmony Curriculum, Harmony Professional Learning product, and SEL content to effectively support implementation and training. Balance and organize the learning and development of several partners at one time within an assigned geographical region while maintaining professionalism and expertise.
Identify professional learning, development, and support needs of partners alongside the Account Manager and/or Account Executive through surveys, interviews with employees, and/or consultations with leadership teams.
Work in tandem with the Account Manager and/or Account Executive and the partners to establish objectives for the identified training(s).
Partner with the Account Manager and/or Account Executive to provide strategies for successful implementation of accounts.
Create comprehensive implementation plans with partners, including partner goals, team resources, professional learning plan, and implementation supports.
Maintain regular partner engagement through ongoing training, meetings, and outreach.
Determine appropriate audience, content, and modality to meet the established objectives for the identified training(s).
Deliver training(s) to, and support, the partners and users in their development of product usage and SEL growth.

As an Admissions Counselor, every counselor:

You'll reach your assigned territory through developing and implementing a phone campaign strategy that builds awareness of our academic programs and campus community and drive inquiry generation. Through a variety of mediums, you will use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families. Whether over the phone, via email, text, Zoom or occasionally in person when you travel out to your territory, you will champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
Hustles. You'll be busy using your unique ability to make connections over the phone with community college students, faculty and staff in your territory. Not only will you travel to your territory on occasion to host fairs, school visits and presentations, you'll get to see other parts of the United States when your support is needed in other territories to cover events/activities.
Bleeds purple. You'll take pride in being the voice of Grand Canyon University in your territory and will not only promote our transformation, but you will get to be a part of it.
Is purposeful. This is a campus-based role with ambitious targets! Working independently, you'll be using your out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support prospective Grand Canyon University campus students and families through the admissions process, guiding them on the right path towards a successful campus experience.

A bachelor's degree.
Outstanding time management and organization skills. In this role, you'll be wearing many hats, so you'll need to show that not only have you honed your time management skills, you also know how to organize and prioritize competing priorities even while travelling on occasion.
Clear communication and engaging presentation skills. You can explain just about anything to anyone and you're comfortable communicating on the phone, in writing and sometimes in person. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, a flexible schedule and is willing to travel about 25% of the time.
