Pros of working at California Center for the Arts, Escondido

It's been a great experience so far! Great environment and a positive place to work. Open minded staff, supportive management, and great team work. Our coworkers and supervisor are supportive and hardworking. Overall, it's been a rewarding experience where my contributions are valued and where I'm making a difference. Benefits are great, there are also many opportunities for staff development and training.

Some shifts can be longer during the busy season, after that hours decrease.

    With a mission of bringing people together to discover, create and celebrate both the visual and performing arts, the California Center for the Arts, Escondido has become the cultural hub of North San Diego County. Opening its doors in 1994, The Center has welcomed over 3 million patrons to its unique campus, which includes a 1,500-seat concert hall, a 400-seat theater, a contemporary art museum, art and dance studios, and a full-service conference center with meeting and banquet facilities ready to host corporate gatherings, weddings and other special life events. Sparked by a united civic vision, the purpose of The Center is to create a space that can facilitate art, and arts education for a community that is underserved in this field. Whether the Center is presenting top notch international talent – like STYX or Itzhak Perlman, Bill Murray or Grand Master Flash, an upcoming talented young pianist, or local Student Artists on the Museum’s Student Gallery Wall – The Center’s dynamic and diverse programming continues to spark creativity and ignite connection as it celebrates its 25th Anniversary Season.
