Job Summary LIGO Hanford Observatory (LHO) seeks a highly motivated and creative LIGO Lab Science and Outreach Intern to join our Education and Public Outreach (EPO) team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in science communication while learning from both outreach professionals and scientific staff at a world-leading research facility. The LIGO Lab Science and Outreach Intern will assist with a variety of outreach programs-including field trips, classroom visits, STEM nights, and community events-and contribute to the development of new educational activities and resources. In addition to outreach responsibilities, interns have the opportunity to collaborate with technical staff in areas such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, or other laboratory projects aligned with their interests and skills. LIGO's Education and Public Outreach (EPO) team works to engage and inspire learners of all ages through hands-on science experiences, tours, and public programming. This internship requires approximately 10 hours per week during the academic year, with potential for additional hours in the summer. Support the design and development of new lessons, demonstrations, and activities to engage audiences in LIGO science. Collaborate with LIGO scientists and engineers on small technical or educational projects. Participate in outreach planning meetings and contribute creative ideas to enhance public engagement.     Department of Human Communication Studies Part-Time Lecturer Pool POSITION The Department of Human Communication Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. Candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Coursework or prior teaching experience in the particular course topic. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. The Fall term begins in the late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term runs from the middle of January through the end of May. On rare occasions part-time faculty are needed during one of the Summer Session segments. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION Regular performance evaluations of part-time lecturers are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. These performance evaluations determine which lecturers will be retained for future and continued teaching assignments. And in some instances, syllabi, assignments and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee. APPOINTMENT AND SALARY All part-time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers, under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. For a three-unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester. The College of the Siskiyous is seeking a Faculty Intern in Psychology for a year-long, remote internship aimed at providing aspiring community college faculty members with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in online teaching. The internship is part of the College of the Siskiyous Faculty Diversity Internship Program which also aims to increase the diversity of the Siskiyous faculty and enrich and improve our students' experiences. Our Psychology Faculty Intern will meet regularly (approximately every 2 weeks) with a Faculty Mentor from the Siskiyous social science department throughout the 26-27 academic year. In the summer and fall of 2026, Interns will complete approximately 80 hours of online teaching training. In the spring of 2027, they will get hands-on experience assisting with their mentor's online class (this could involve developing assignments or online learning units, participating in class discussions, organizing and attending student study groups or tutoring sessions, grading, etc.).
