In this analyst position, the focus is on providing analysis and practical education on existing and emerging technical capabilities that align with the strategic design and function of FTB's current and future business processes and technology solutions. This includes solving business problems through technology while educating the customer and technical teams on the technology, continually moving the department towards our "To Be" state via service delivery engagements and education opportunities.
We are looking for candidates that possess skills in continual program improvement, possess strong organization skills, understand department technologies, have solid business and technical writing, are open to learning our processes and emerging technologies, and love working with business and IT customers in support of growing and managing a strong and effective Enterprise Architecture program and Chief Technologist Office.

Working Conditions

The InformationTechnologyAssociate, is responsible for a diverse range of tasks within a tier III equivalent data center management operation. This role includes monitoring, research, analysis, testing, maintenance, and reporting. The individual will collaborate with the data center infrastructure team to ensure optimal performance and uptime of equipment such as Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Static Transfer Switches (STS), Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), generators, utility power feeds, and Computer Room Air Handlers/Conditioners (CRAH/C) in both the data centers and tenant area. You will engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the scheduling of generator testing, UPS, and CRAH maintenance. Additionally, the Data Center Operations Associate will deliver metrics and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) reports for the data center to ensure the maintenance of operational efficiency.

Working Conditions

Working Conditions

The incumbent acts as a technical architect with primary focus on architecting and managing Caltrans' grant-making and grant administration lifecycle, customer relationship management (CRM) architecture and workflows, customer success workflows, and case management solutions within Salesforce. Working Conditions
The incumbent may be required to work for extended periods of time in a computer room. This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans's current telework policy.
