Under the general direction of the Research Data Supervisor (RDSup) II, the RDS II serves as a project lead, independently conducting a wide range of research utilizing advanced research methods and complex data analytics on criminal and social justice research topics to support for the Department's various research activities and mandated reports.
The RDS II keeps themselves informed of relevant extant empirical research and determines appropriate research methodologies for ad-hoc research and reporting requests. The RDS II collects and manages data using appropriate data analytics tools and software (e.g., R, Python, SQL, GIS, qualitative analysis software, survey collection tools, etc.) while ensuring compliance with established security protocols. Data management and analytics responsibilities include creating, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing data analysis protocols involving both structured and unstructured data; querying, validating, and organizing datasets; conducting advanced statistical analyses to identify patterns, trends, and assess potential impact, particularly in areas where changes are being implemented and a body of knowledge or experience does not exist. The RDS II leads the efforts to interpret results, develop actionable solutions, and support informed recommendations. The RDS II serves as lead to clearly and concisely summarize findings through written reports, PowerPoint slides and/or infographics, including data visualizations to facilitate comprehension. Additionally, the RDS II clearly and concisely presents findings to internal and external stakeholders, including executive management to support scientific, programmatic, and policy decisions.
The RDS II is responsible for coordinating, designing, and directing high-profile, varied, or complex research projects. The RDS II provides consultation services on research and analysis issues for Departmental units as needed. The RDS II is responsible for liaising with stakeholders, both inside and outside of the Department, and responsible for interfacing with upper management and the Executive Branch on research issues. The RDS II may act as a lead over Research Data Specialist I, Research Data Analysts I/II, Student Assistants, and/or Volunteers.

Working Conditions
In a remote work environment, home office, or similar environment in California. At the office, an enclosed windowed office with a smoke-free environment. May be required to sit at a computer terminal while performing research and other duties up to eight hours a day.
Travel to designated offices may be required.
This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. Serves as a co-owner on many cases and provides consultation to attorneys, staff and management in the Settlement Bureau involving advanced accounting-related issues relating to the most complex personal income tax and pass-through entity settlement cases. This includes, but is not limited to, calculating and/or confirming complex amounts in controversy, computing tax valuation of various issues, determining the cash flow impact and advising on complex audit-related matters. INVESTMENT OFFICER I, STATE TEACHERS' RETIREMENT SYSTEM
We are searching for candidates to fill one Fish and Wildlife Scientific Aid or Fish and Wildlife Seasonal Aid position on the Central Valley Angler Survey in its Red Bluff office. This position is part of a team estimating sport fishing effort, catch, and harvest of Chinook Salmon and other anadromous sport fish in the Central Valley. Under the lead and direction of an Environmental Scientist, incumbents will operate motor vehicles, jet powered and drift boats, and kayaks, and perform surveys on foot, to count and contact anglers on the Sacramento River system, including the Feather and Yuba rivers.
Following an established protocol, incumbent will interview anglers to collect field data on angling effort, catch, and harvest of anadromous sport fishes; identify and enumerate fish species in the angler catch; collect and record angler and biological data; collect heads from adipose fin-clipped Chinook Salmon for recovery of coded-wire tags; collect scale and genetic tissue samples from Chinook Salmon for age and stock identification assessments; and check completed data forms and biological samples and submit them to the Environmental Scientist serving as project lead.
Incumbent will also assist the Environmental Scientist with QA/QC of incoming field data and associated biological samples; enter data into an established relational database; and assist in the development of information on angling effort, catch, and harvest in Central Valley river sport fisheries.
In addition, incumbent will maintain records on vehicle and boat use, and assist in the maintenance and repair of field gear, vehicles, boats, and facilities used to conduct the angler survey.
The Scientific Aid & Seasonal Aid classifications are non-testing classifications.

Under general direction from the Senior Apprenticeship Consultant within the Division of Apprenticeship Standards, the Apprenticeship Consultant is responsible for providing technical assistance, guidance and support to apprenticeship and on-the-job training programs while serving as a source of information to workers, employers, their representatives, and the general public regarding Apprenticeship, Pre-Apprenticeship and On-The-job training programs. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Develop and consult with Apprenticeship and "On-The-Job" training programs, provide guidance on compliance with state and federal apprenticeship laws and regulations, conduct program reviews, attend apprenticeship program meetings, public meetings, job fairs and outreach events.

California Correctional Health Care Services and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation are seeking dedicated and compassionate psychiatrists to join our statewide Telepsychiatry Psychopharmacology Resource Network team.
This team provides psychiatric services to patients within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's adult correctional institutions. As a Psychopharmacology Resource Network Psychiatrist, you will consult with other psychiatrists on psychiatric treatment issues, provide education, conduct case reviews, and assist with shaping systemic practices related to psychopharmacology. Additional duties may include the facilitation of journal clubs, lectures and/or other academic activities, as indicated. This role includes evaluation, diagnosis, and the provision of treatment guidance and recommendations for inmates housed within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, primarily via telepsychiatry and with the ability to work from home.

Under the direction of the Chief of Telepsychiatry, and senior supervising psychiatrist, the Staff Psychiatrist is responsible for direct provision of psychiatric services to patients in person or via telepresence. This includes evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the general population and the mental health services delivery system in various settings.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), Northern Region has an exciting opportunity for an independent and highly motivated Environmental Scientist to work within the Coastal Fisheries Program. Under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory), this position performs field research, data collection, data entry, data quality assurance and control, analysis, and report writing for fisheries investigations in the Trinity River basin and Department hatcheries. The position is part of the Departments Trinity River Project and involves coordination with other members of the Project and other agency or Tribal partners. This position offers the opportunity to work in remote wilderness areas of the Trinity River Basin. This position will actively participate in monitoring some of California's most iconic salmon species including spring and fall Chinook, Coho Salmon and summer steelhead. Incumbent will actively participate in sourcing natural area coho salmon broodstock for Trinity River Hatchery. Incumbent will represent the Department in dealings with local, State and Federal governmental agencies, Tribal partners, conservation groups and private landowners. Area of geographic responsibility includes all nine Northern California counties that make up the Northern Region, however duties will be largely focused in Trinity County. Contacts made in the course of this work are highly sensitive and involve a wide degree of interests. The level of consequence of error in applying the best available scientific knowledge, technical information, and policy may have highly significant and adverse consequences for private landowners, various governments, the public, the Department, Tribal partners, and trust resources, among others.

Working Conditions
Ability to use a computer and standard word processing software. This is a field-oriented position that will be working in temperature extremes (25 -105 F), working in and around flowing water using wet/dry suits in rugged and remote areas. Use of 4-wheel drive and all-terrain vehicles, rafts, fisheries sampling equipment such as backpack electrofishers, seine nets, traps, etc. is required. The ability to lift 50 lbs. and swim 100 yds. unassisted is required. 50% of time will be spent indoors attending meetings, processing emails, phone calls, and documents; spend the other approximately 50% of time outdoors in rugged terrain, hot and freezing conditions, experiencing biting insects, and some overnight camping. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The Filing Services Bureau (FSB) is searching for talented individuals to join our team. Under the close supervision of the Administrator I in the Filing Services Bureau (FSB), the primary duties of the Compliance Representative is to provide technical assistance for staff. The incumbent is required to have an understanding of the section's operational goals and a thorough knowledge of Personal Income Tax, Business Entities Tax, and Collection laws, procedures and policies. The Compliance Representative must have a thorough understanding of the department's systems and processing procedures. The Filing Service Bureau (FSB) Lead independently analyzes taxpayer information to assist in determining filing requirements and account resolution and compliance. The incumbent participates as a team member with peers and others within the section to identify and resolve work-related issues.

The Information Technology Associate, is responsible for a diverse range of tasks within a tier III equivalent data center management operation. This role includes monitoring, research, analysis, testing, maintenance, and reporting. The individual will collaborate with the data center infrastructure team to ensure optimal performance and uptime of equipment such as Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Static Transfer Switches (STS), Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), generators, utility power feeds, and Computer Room Air Handlers/Conditioners (CRAH/C) in both the data centers and tenant area. You will engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the scheduling of generator testing, UPS, and CRAH maintenance. Under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (SES) (Supervisory) within the PSP, the Environmental Scientist will conduct on-farm environmental assessments and farm inspections to ensure compliance with FSMA and the PSR, upholding the FDA approach of "educate before and while we regulate" for FSMA implementation. The Inspection and Compliance Branch deals with a broad range of environmental, environmental health, and on-farm management issues related to protecting public health. The Branch consists of the following programs: Shipping Point Inspection Program; Produce Safety Program (PSP); State Organic Program; Direct Marketing Program; Standardization Program; Avocado Inspection Program; OCal Program; Citrus Program, and the Technical Assistance Program for Produce Safety.
