The Electrical Mechanical Technician (EMT) is responsible for installation and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation equipment in the production, treatment, and distribution systems of the district(s) under his/her assigned territory. This includes inspection, installation as needed for electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation elements in new construction of pump and storage facilities, telemetry and SCADA systems, and automatic control valves; ensures that construction conforms to plans and specifications; testing, calibration, and repair of instrumentation including water quality analyzers, chart recorders, flow meters, transducers; install, troubleshoot, and maintain treatment plant equipment such as motor-actuated valves, variable frequency drives, soft start contactors, human machine interfaces, and programmable logic controllers. An EMT may be required to work outside the home district. Job Description We currently have an immediate opening for a Senior Aquatic Equipment Repair Technician. This position is based in Yorba Linda, California. This position requires that you have a background and direct experience in repairing and installing equipment at commercial swimming pools, aquatic facilities, or fountains and water features. We are a large, busy and fast-growing company. This is a full-time job with full benefits and growth potential. You will be paid by the hour, not by the stop or the job. You supply hand tools, we supply the rest, including a fully equipped truck, with warehouse support, purchasing support, and more. Qualifications Five or more years of experience. Must have strong understanding of pumps, motors, filters, control panels, valves, fittings, nozzles, timers, UV, Ozone, lights, PVC pipe, etc. A big plus is any direct experience fixing and installing control panels, running and bending conduit/wire, submersible lighting, breakers, solenoids, etc. Must be able to troubleshoot problems in the field and work independently.
