The restoration of the call boxes was inspired by Cheryl Tlam who began the project in 2003.
Founded in 2004, Callbox is the largest provider of outsourced B2B marketing and sales support services for businesses and organizations worldwide.
Callbox started life as a Los Angeles, CA-based startup in 2004.
By the time the “Art on Call” project wrapped up in 2009, 145 boxes had been transformed in such neighborhoods as Mount Pleasant, Sheridan/Kalorama and Capitol Hill.
