Assist in modifying, repairing, troubleshooting, adjusting, calibrating, installing, and cleaning instrumentation inside and outside the plant while under the direction of the Instrumentation Supervisor and/or Lead man or Journeyman Instrument Technician, including, but not limited to, all instrumentation and control devices, which may include tubing and wiring associated with equipment monitoring, pneumatic and digital valve controllers and positioners, Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) equipment, Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMS) equipment, I/O multiplexors, ultrasonic flow measurement, and assorted gauges, transmitters, transducers, switches, analyzers, and other indicating/control devices.
Required to read and interpret prints, sketches, and technical manuals.
Keep all tools and work areas clean and in an orderly manner.
Periodic inspections of all instrumentation equipment, reporting any concerns to management.
Use necessary hand tools, miscellaneous equipment and handheld technology.
Required to work from heights.
Follow all policies and procedures established by the Instrumentation Department and AECI.
May be required to collaborate with Journeyman Electricians to troubleshoot low-voltage, DCS and/or PLC circuits and systems
