Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).
Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.
Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list and parts accountability.
Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
Keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of the Shop Fax system.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping.
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must have (3) years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic or a combination of both; or (2) years verifiable hands-on experience with either Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification or both.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience in administering appropriate PM program.
Must furnish own personal hand tools.
CDL A and DOT certified preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.
Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with co-workers and drivers with demonstrated teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
Computer and software experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Must be able to work overtime when needed.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $25 and $30/hour.
As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
Key contributor of the manufacturing quality assurance organization by performing daily audits of the manufacturing process to ensure all products and processes are abiding by the specifications and standards set by the leadership teams
User of test lab equipment such as tensile/torsion testers, hardness testers, metallurgical equipment (cut/mount/polish, optical and stereo microscopes), and other various test equipment
Operate CMM and VMM measuring machines and user of handheld devices such as calipers, micrometers, height/snap/pin gauges and other various devices to support metrology needs
Initiate Quality System documentation, such as Inspections, Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR's), quality alerts
Contribute to the creation of work instructions
Complete dimensional inspections of incoming raw material

Participate in gage R&R studies as needed

The Butte office of the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology (Montana's state geologic survey) seeks a highly motivated quantitative hydrogeologist trained in groundwater modeling techniques to develop and apply groundwater models for water resources evaluation. The MBMG's Ground Water Investigation Program studies local- to regional-scale hydrogeologic systems, with projects that encompass groundwater/surface-water interactions and groundwater quantity and quality. A primary focus of the position will be to use groundwater modeling, scripting/programming, parameter estimation, GIS, and visualization software to develop and apply groundwater flow models for water resources evaluations. Responsible for overall organization and cleaning of the locations as well as identifying other opportunities
Able to operate Order pickers, pallet jacks (EPJ and MPJ) equipment is required to perform cycle counts,

Duties:
Maintain, repair, replace restore, remove relocate and do any maintenance which is necessary for the proper and continuous operation and maintenance of all Facilities of Montana Tech. This includes: trouble shooting, maintaining and installing any electrical pertaining to the operation and maintenance of the campus buildings and equipment.
Maintain, repair, replace, restore, remove and relocate any plumbing systems including toilets, sinks, urinals, hot water tanks, showers, etc. This also includes distribution of hot and cold water lines, drain waste, vent lines, steam supply, return lines, pumps, steam traps, valves, glycol systems, and compressors.
Maintain and repair all HVAC systems to include motors, controls, coils, lubrication, filters, belts, and all controls and wiring.
•Interpret and apply blue print specifications, control diagrams and maintenance manuals.
•Responding to and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
•Welding, repair and fabrication of metals.
•This position also covers operation of Heating Plant on a consistent basis..
•Maintain and repair all exterior area lighting.
•Startup maintenance and shut down of all cooling towers and systems.
Required to work rotating shifts
Required Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Experience in any of the following: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building systems or facilities maintenance
•Must have State of Montana 3rd class boilers license or be able to obtain one within 2 months
•Three years of boiler maintenance experience, one year experience in the operation of pneumatic and electronic controls, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Some plumbing experience and working knowledge methods, materials, practices, equipment, machines and techniques used in the plumbing trade.
•Position requires working from ladders, scaffolding, tunnels and confined space.
•Working knowledge of testing and operational procedures of system boilers and related equipment.
•Working knowledge of boiler room safety and casualty procedures.
•Proven ability to follow instructions.
•Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals, students, staff, faculty, and the public including supervision of student employees.
•Applicant subject to background security investigation.
•Possess good oral and written communication skill
Preferred Qualifications:
•License or certification in any of the following: cooling and refrigeration, heating and ventilation, electrical, plumbing, building systems or facilities maintenance if highly preferred (submit copies with application).
