What The Program Supervisor Does:
Communicate effectively with clients, direct reporting staff, peers, supervisors, and funders regarding best program practices.
Has input into and understanding of, Case Management aspects of contract requirements and communicates this understanding to staff.
Ensure that all client files and electronic files are kept in compliance with funder's standards and implement CAMBA internal Quality Assurance protocol.
Analyze case management program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements.
Maintain all trackers, monitor scheduling/ staff calendars.
Review and ensure appropriate action is taken in response to program emails.
Supervise, coach, motivate and counsel direct reporting staff to excel.
Plan and organize program activities to maximize program contract's goals and performance targets.
Improve teamwork among direct reporting staff as well as among peers.
Troubleshoot and make decisions within the boundaries of authority level, in accordance with program policies, procedures, and protocols.
Work with direct reporting staff to improve work performance through client feedback, training, and other appropriate mechanisms.
Overcome resistance to change from clients, direct reporting staff, and supervisors/funders.
Administer constructive discipline to direct reporting staff, as needed.
Assist in recruiting of program eligible clients.
Confer with CAMBA's Management staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues.
Manage own time effectively and coordinate program activities to maximize time of direct reporting staff.
Monitor and review clients' progress weekly by conducting case conferences with staff.
Review all documentation related to clients' progress for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
Participate in administrative and staff meetings as requested.
Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/semester/annual reports to CAMBA management and/or to funders.
Prepare marketing materials for the program.
Reach out and market the program to the community in order to recruit clients.
Prescreen clients over the telephone for eligibility and may schedule intake appointments.
May have direct client service/program responsibilities in addition to the above.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree (e. g., B.A., B.S.W.) and at least 1 year of supervisory experience and/or equivalent experience.
Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 annually

The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. Ensure the establishment and maintenance of professional relationships with clients, while upholding the highest standards of client confidentiality.
Possesses a thorough understanding of the case management aspects of contract requirements and effectively communicates this knowledge to staff.
Ensure that all client and program files comply with funder standards and implement CAMBA's internal Quality Assurance protocols.
Plan and organize program activities to optimize the achievement of contract goals and performance targets
Enhance collaboration and teamwork among direct reports and peers.

Skilled in effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from clients, employees, peers, funders, other organizations, and the general public.
Capable of applying mathematical concepts such as fractions, decimals, and percentages to real-world scenarios.
Skilled in defining problems, collecting relevant data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
To succeed in this role, an individual must possess proficiency in Microsoft software, spreadsheet applications, internet software, and database management systems.
Consistently supervises two or more positions, executing supervisory responsibilities in alignment with CAMBA's policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include interviewing and recommending new hires, providing employee training, planning and assigning work, evaluating performance, administering rewards and disciplinary actions, and addressing complaints to resolve issues effectively.

Program Overview
COMPASS/SONYC After-School Programs are funded by the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and other funders, to serve approximately 2,150 children and youth in grades K-8. Children at elementary and middle schools participate in program activities (such as homework help, conflict resolution, academic enrichment, recreation and creative arts programming) during after school hours and thirteen school holidays.

What The Assistant ProgramDirector Does:
The person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to interact with participants, their families, the community-at-large, and school administrative personnel to monitor attendance and participation in program activities; including the following:
Ensure the safety and security of each program participant by following all CAMBA after-school protocols and procedures including but not limited to procedures and protocols regarding safety, supervision, accident and incident reporting.
Mange the after-school program in the Director's absence.
Manage the after-school office daily during after-school program hours.
Monitor, collect, and compile daily and monthly attendance records of targeted participants.
Input all client attendance data into database(s) on a daily basis.
Keep accurate records on absenteeism and success resulting from counseling and referrals.
Follow up and report to parent(s) participants' attendance via telephone calls, mailings, and home visits on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Order, receive, and maintain office supplies.
Maintain participant's files.
Coordinate Parent workshops regarding CAMBA's workshops and services.
Maintain daily logs for all activities.
Retrieve messages from general voicemail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
Answer incoming telephone calls and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
Take or deliver messages or transfers calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
Answer questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
Welcome onsite visitors, determines nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
Monitor visitor access and issues passes when required.
Receive, sort, and route mail, and maintains and routes publications.
Prepare MTA travel vouchers.
Create and print attendance sheets, memos, parent notifications, correspondence, reports, program marketing materials, and other documents when necessary.
Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
May encourage parents to become active participants in the Parent's Association and to attend school-based parent workshops.
May advise parents on the importance of child(ren)'s regular school attendance during individual parent conferences.
May act as liaison with agency and school administration and teaching staff, and may attend School Leadership Team and Building Response Team meetings.
May work with school administrative staff to identify students to be served by the program.
May perform computer data entry/verification functions.
Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over a period of time.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
High school diploma or G.E.D. AND two years direct experience working with children ages 5 to 13 years old.
Ability to adapt to the culture and environment of a public school.
Must be available to work during the After School program's hours of operation, Monday thru Friday for 3 hours directly after day school dismissal.
Must be available to work 13 DOE Holiday Program Days.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one year in a supervisory capacity.
Bi-lingual English and Spanish/Haitian Creole/Mandarin/Urdu/or Russian.
Pre and/or Post Employment Requirements:
Must obtain and maintain the following clearances throughout the duration of employment: Dept. of Health and Dept. of Education fingerprint clearance; Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance, State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, and submit a medical form with a negative TB test.
Ability to adapt to the culture and environment of a public school.
Compensation: $22.28 hourly
Status: Part-time (25 hours per week)
