CAMBA's Cure Violence Program works with 16 - 24 year old at risk youths who are or may have potentially been involved in street violence, community residents, businesses and community-based organizations to implement Cure Violence: The Campaign to Stop the Shooting. Cure Violence is a public health strategy to reduce and prevent shootings and killings. This program will focus on a defined area identified as a “hot spot” in Brownsville, Brooklyn for shooting violence within the 73
rd
Precinct. The program works to prevent gun violence by: 1) mediating conflicts that may end in gun violence, 2) changing the thinking of individuals who are most at risk of being victims or perpetrators of violence, and 3) working closely with a broad coalition of local partners to promote a visible community-wide message that shooting is unacceptable behavior.

What The SocialWorker Does:

Program Overview
The Cornerstone Case Management Expansion consists of a case-management approach, which incorporates a SocialWorker, a Navigator, and the development of Peer Support Leaders into the Van Dyke Cornerstone Community Center. Purpose of Position: The Senior Outreach Worker works creatively and effectively in the community to engage individuals living on the street through outreach by utilizing a harm reduction approach. The position will, at times, require dispatching of assignments, acting as a liaison to the on-call supervisor and ensuring that daily reports are submitted. The person in this role will also assist in training new outreach workers. The position responds to 311 community calls, assists with housing placements, and meets clients “where they are at” utilizing motivational interviewing techniques. The position works in conjunction with MOC teams.
Schedule: Saturday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am (and other shifts as needed)

Qualifications
Senior Outreach Worker Responsibilities:
Act as shift lead when team supervisors are not onsite, liaising with on-call supervisor and dispatching/ ensuring completion of assignments

Program Description: Goddard Riverside's Resource Center program is located in Central Harlem. The Resource Center helps low-income individuals and family's access and receive entitlements, benefits, and resources. The Resource Center also offers many services including benefits screening, financial counseling, legal consultation and referrals to support services in the community and city wide. The Whole Family 3 Gen program is an innovative pilot to support three generation families and households towards economic and social development using a person-centered, research-based approach. Families are self-defined as interdependent.
Purpose of Position: To provide coordination and direct services for three generation families. As this is the first position hired to implement an essential organizational pilot program, tracking and articulating experiences is an important function and sharing lessons learned internally and externally. This team member will work closely with the Resource Center Program Director to ensure that lessons learned from the earlier 2-Gen pilot are carried forward into this new iteration.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (some evenings and weekends)

Cure Violence is a public health strategy to reduce and prevent shootings and killings. This program will focus on a defined area identified as a “hot spot” in Brownsville, Brooklyn for shooting violence within the 73rd Precinct. The program works to prevent gun violence by: 1) mediating conflicts that may end in gun violence, 2) changing the thinking of individuals who are most at risk of being victims or perpetrators of violence, and 3) working closely with a broad coalition of local partners to promote a visible community-wide message that shooting is unacceptable behavior.

What The SocialWorker Does:
Invite/persuade referred clients to schedule initial appointment with Counselor.

Program Overview
The Cornerstone Case Management Expansion consists of a case-management approach, which incorporates a SocialWorker, a Navigator, and the development of Peer Support Leaders into the Van Dyke Cornerstone Community Center. The Clinical Director is responsible for the programmatic service delivery in partnership with the Program Director, with emphasis on Behavioral Health Services. Responsibilities include implementation of new program design to bring intensive clinical services into program plan for clients. Salary: Up to $90,000 per year
Purpose of the Position
The Clinical Director is responsible for the programmatic service delivery in partnership with the Program Director, with emphasis on Behavioral Health Services. Responsibilities include implementation of new program design to bring intensive clinical services into program plan for clients. Other responsibilities include evaluation, reporting, supervision of clinical and social service staff. The Clinical Director uses Evidenced Based Practice (EBP), treatment plans, case management, crisis intervention, and discharge plans to assist the Social Services team with person centered planning for all Win clients.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the program's multi-disciplinary team, which will include Social Service Supervisors, Case Managers, and Client Care Coordinators.
• Provide supervision to Social Service Supervisors to troubleshoot client issues, and enhance direct reports clinical case management skills in accordance with program policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Provide clinical supervision to Client Care Coordinators to ensure supportive counseling is provided to clients.
• Provide coaching, training, and staff development to the Social Service team by incorporating social work values into program services, embracing a clinical lens.
• Provide management oversight to the supportive housing process.
• Train and support staff in the use of Evidence Based Practices (EBP), promote Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), Critical Time Intervention (CTI) to exceed program goals and help clients achieve permanent housing.
• Conduct audits of the Uniform Client Chart and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), Department of Homeless Services (DHS), contractual requirements and Win standards.
• Establish linkages with appropriate community agencies for services required by shelter residents, to include medical, mental health, substance abuse, child welfare and other stakeholders working with Win clients.
• Conduct community outreach and liaison with ancillary programs to maximize onsite care-coordination and referral process; establish long-lasting partnerships.
• Monitor incident follow-ups, ensuring optimal clinical lens during crisis intervention; provide direct client care and assessment to identified clients.
• Identify and consult in coordination of care for high-risk clients in collaboration with Program Director to make clinical decisions regarding client care and safety.
• Monitor and engage all long-term stayers within the facility by conducting case conferences with families, as well as monthly meetings with interdisciplinary staff as it relates to long term stayers.
• Liaison with ACS and ensure to attend all meetings related to ACS/Preventive interactions and provide information as a Mandated Reporter to the Administration for Children's Services (ACS) as needed.
• Support Program Director in preparation of reports in accordance with Win and regulatory agencies.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
Essential Functions:
• Must be able to ascend/descend stairs in the assigned building.
• Must be able to escort clients to appointments as needed.
• Must be able to work evenings, at least weekend on call monthly, and some holidays.
Qualifications:
• Commitment to Win's mission, vision, and values.
• Current NYS LCSW or LMHC license and three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating groups and developing curricula.
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with mental illness and substance abuse, preferably with homeless families.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus.
