Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
The Cambridge -Guernsey County Health Departments mission statement is:

Key Responsibilities
Conduct WIC certifications, obtain anthropometric measurements, and perform hemoglobin testing.
Complete nutrition assessments, identify nutritional risk factors, and document in the WIC system.
Provide one-on-one and group nutrition education to pregnant women, postpartum mothers, infants, and children.
Issue and explain WIC food benefits to eligible participants.
Support and promote breastfeeding through education and hands-on assistance.
Assist with latch support, positioning guidance, pump education, and breastfeeding troubleshooting.
Refer clients to breastfeeding peer helpers, lactation consultants, or additional health resources as needed.
Facilitate breastfeeding classes, infant feeding education, and outreach activities.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal program requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Current and unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse license
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
Must have a valid Driver's License
Preferred:
Bachelors degree from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved program, AND has completed a supervised practicum
Currently a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Licensed Dietitian (LD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Knowledge of infant feeding practices and maternal/child nutrition.
Experience providing breastfeeding education or personal breastfeeding experience with ability to support others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide respectful, culturally sensitive care to diverse populations.
