Our Food Service team members enhance the patient stay by delivering three quality meals per day to patients' bedside. Our Expressly for You program assigns each patient a dedicated Food Service member to take care of their dining needs. Summary The Cook plans and performs a large scale quantity cooking which can include meats, vegetables, fish, hot and cold salads, soups, sauces, gravies, eggs, cakes desserts and breads, using a variety of preparation and cooking methods. The cook may also supervise and performs duties less skilled in nature, relating to food preparation and storage, such as cleaning and sanitizing work stations, food preparation equipment, and food storage equipment such as coolers or racks. Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent is required. - Must be able to read, write, and speak English. - Prior food service experience is necessary. - A two-year experience in quantity food production preferred. - Must be able to follow standardized written recipes. - Must have knowledge/training in the usage of food production equipment.
