The Plant Manager effectively leads and is accountable for the department, ensuring achievement of safety, quality and productivity and customer service goals and objectives, and providing leadership to supervisors and staff members. Assumes full and complete ownership of the entire department's continuous improvement process; to create, develop, improve, and document processes, including external elements that are influential to the process. Develops annual budget for the department; monitors and adjusts purchases and activities to conform to planned expenditures. The Process Tech II takes full ownership of the various processes in the injection molding department and specifically in their assigned area. Their main responsibilities are directed at maintaining optimum daily performance, run efficiency and repeatability of all the Injection department's molds and machinery. The Process Tech II performs accurate, efficient mold set-ups and start-ups daily, maintaining high level machine output and utilization for assigned cell. Set-Up Tech I is responsible for performing the complete mold change process including; mold/supply preparation in advance, mold removal, mold installation, robot and secondary equipment set-up, clean up, and organization. Set-Up Tech 1 personnel are responsible for clean-up of machine and surrounding areas, including proper clean up and storage of all mold change materials and supplies. Basic injection mold processing skills required. Must have a complete understanding of the material handling process. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Ensures that molds are properly prepped in advance. Ensures that molds being pulled are properly shut down and prepped for transportation to the mold shop. Performs all functions of the mold change process.
