Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification
Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program.
Current and active New Jersey APRN license.
National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC or PNP-PC).
Active DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain).
Active CDS registration (or eligibility to obtain).
Current BLS certification (PALS preferred).
Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of pediatric clinical experience preferred (new graduates with strong pediatric rotations may be considered).
Experience in an FQHC or underserved/community health setting strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
In compliance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated salary range for this position is:

What you will do:
Escort patients from processing room to the exam room. Take a history of visit and chief complaints.
Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height and weight of all patients, and pulse as indicated. Documents vitals in patient's chart in EMR.
Perform dipstick Urinalysis (OB), Head circ, vision and hearing (Pediatrics). Documents all findings in patient's chart in EMR.
Translate for the provider as needed or assist with the language line.
Keep patient flow to the provider constant, attending to the provider's needs for assistance and supplies as required, as indicated by feedback.
Prepare patient exam rooms and assist providers during exams as requested.
Clean and disinfect exam room after each patient and prepare rooms for next patient.
Discharge patient and schedule next appointment.
Maintain logbooks as designated in each department.
Request referrals and give patient contact, prescription, x-ray, or lab requisitions ensuring process is complete.

Maintain inventory on all instruments, as reflected by inventory logs.
Coordinate the delivery/receipt of all instruments and equipment sent for sterilization processing as reflected by instrument log, and availability of needed instruments and equipment.
Maintain and stock all equipment.

Participate in staff development and educational programs.
Maintain CPR certification as evidenced by valid card.
Attend all mandatory in-service sessions.
