What Will Set You Up for Success:
Assist Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI's) in setting up and performing pneumatic tests on standard waste boxes
Support visual inspections and learn to recognize welding and fabrication attributes under direct supervision
Participate in pre-fabrication dimensional and visual inspections on machined or prepared components
Opportunity to rotate through the finishing department and receiving to gain exposure to load tests, hydrostatic (hydro) tests, paint inspections, and receiving inspection
Maintain organized inspection documentation and ensure clear communication with fabrication and quality personnel
Option to receive structured on-the-job training to begin accruing hours towards VT/MT/PT qualifications under company procedures
Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand tools, gauges, or mechanical equipment
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering or fabrication drawings
Strong attention to detail and a desire to grow in the field of quality inspection
Willingness to work in fabrication shop and field environments with appropriate PPE
Basic math and measurement skills (e.g., using calipers, micrometers, or tape measures)
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or welding/fabrication coursework a plus
Standing 9 hours per day in shop environment
Preferred (but not required):
Experience or coursework in welding, machining, or mechanical inspection

What You'll Do:
Reviews projects and change sheets. Attends Scope, Design and Test Plan walkthroughs for major system projects. Coordinates testing and debugging of new or modified software. Creates test matrices, trains, and provides supporting documentation. Analyzes technical documentation to create test plan/matrices and updates statistical reporting software. Develops and executes formal test plans using analytical skills to ensure delivery of quality software applications.
Monitors software/ programs implemented to verify that changes to the system's operational process had the desired effect. During the testing process analyzes the system for exceptions and other items requiring posttest attention. Identifies and documents systems problems and works with Information Systems and the production areas on short term and long term solutions.
Defines and evaluates quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status. Analyzes test data for accuracy and status to inform customer whether it will enhance current production operations. Creates defect records based on analysis of test results to correct programming deficiencies. Creates statistical information for Information systems and customers in order to track the progress of implementations.
Prepares reports and analyses pertaining to testing results and/or production issues, including recommendations for customers on improving operational workflows.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience:
2-years of experience working in related processing support systems.
2-years of system testing or system testing development experience.
Required Software and Tools: Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong business math skills.
