Lab Manager
Pick-up, transport and deliver samples, equipment, supplies, documents and other work related items as per the direction of designated Operations personnel. Perform these tasks while acting in a professional and dignified manner so as to maintain the Company's respected and trusted reputation.
4.0 Minimum Requirements
• Requires a H.S. Degree (or equivalent).
• Must have a valid motor vehicle driver's license.
• Must have a maintained and insured personal vehicle, unless a Company use vehicle is provided.
• Must be dependable and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to effectively communicate and maintain a professional appearance.
5.0 Responsibilities
As instructed by the Laboratory Department and under the strict guidelines described in the Corporate manuals:
• Maintain regular contact with the Laboratory Department in order to deliver and samples.
• Possess and maintain a vehicle in order to perform duties in a timely manner.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner.
6.0 Fitness for Duty - Physical Demands
Workday may consist of 8-12 hours; however, this can vary day to day or shift to shift. Some of the retain work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and could include possible exposure to high and low temperatures for prolonged duration of time. Some of the work is performed indoors or in a truck under climate-controlled conditions.

Lab Manager for day-to-day laboratory responsibilities
Assist the Manager and coordinates laboratory functions for the branch. Provides guidance, leadership and training to laboratory staff on routine matters.
4.0 Minimum Requirements
• Requires a B.S. (preferable Chemistry degree) with a minimum of five years general laboratory experience or three years' experience in a petroleum laboratory.
• Must be able to distinguish color. Must pass pulmonary test for respirator use.
5.0 Responsibilities
• Acts as the liaison between Laboratory Coordinator and general laboratory staff with respective Branch Manager, Operations Department and Laboratory Director.
• Works closely with Operations Department to obtain day-to-day analytical testing requirements based upon nominations received from clients in order to provide accurate, reliable results on a timely basis. Works directly with customers for laboratory submitted samples if required.
• Ensures that laboratory staff and visitors follow all documented safety requirements as defined by the company safety program.
• Uses judgment and discretion in directing, coordinating and scheduling the work activities of laboratory staff consistent with accepted operating practices and procedures, including periods during non-working hours, weekends and holidays.
• Receives, compiles, and verifies the data resulting from laboratory analyses and ensures accurate and complete preparation of applicable reports as per standard procedures.
• Works with laboratory staff to analyze and compile round robin and quality control sample results to ensure operating efficiency of process and/or testing equipment.
• Ensures the laboratory has the equipment and supplies necessary to meet customer demands and established quality program.
• Ensures that laboratory staff is qualified to perform necessary testing and meets the training refresher training requirements of the quality system.
• Ensures Test Method Assessments (TMA's) are conducted as per the required procedure and schedule.
• Using advanced knowledge gained in the laboratory, identifies the root causes of quality system problems (customer, specifications or Camin Cargo system) in respective areas of responsibility and uses good judgment to independently troubleshoot, initiate, recommend, and/or implement timely solutions to the problems.
6.0 Fitness for Duty - Physical Demands

SUMMARY
Performs routine laboratory analysis of pressurized petroleum crude oil and natural gas in a PVT (Pressure, Volume, Temperature) laboratory environment. Conducts all aspects of PVT lab work under close supervision, including sample QC, pressurized transfers, saturation pressure measurements, flash separations, data reporting, and others, and assists coworkers in the same.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Performs all aspects of PVT studies such as recombination, PV relations, differential liberations, constant volume depletions, viscosity measurement, and others.
* Uses basic hand tools properly and safely to make connections to valves and laboratory equipment and works safely and effectively with pressurized petroleum reservoir fluids.
* Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment.
* Understand and be able to complete laboratory raw data sheets, perform basic data calculations using calculators and computers, and make accurate entries into the laboratory information management system.
* Read and understand all analysis and safety standards in English, including ASTM, UOP, IP and other well-defined analytical standards and procedures used in the laboratory.
* Assist senior laboratory personnel in setting up, adjusting and operating laboratory equipment for which the technician has been adequately trained and has been verified to operate correctly in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice. Performs equipment maintenance without assistance, performs equipment calibration and repair.
* Assist in or perform basic analytical tests from well-defined standards and procedures as assigned by the Laboratory Manager. Laboratory technicians must be verified to be able to perform all tests in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.
* Exercise procedural, safety and quality requirements specified in Core Laboratories Procedural and Safety and Environmental Manuals, and company policies.
* Attend training and pass appropriate examinations in petroleum, chemical and gas analysis, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials disposal, and other safety and compliance training required by applicable regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Two years of related experience and/or training preferred.

Essential Duties:
Safely performs analytical testing (quality control testing, manufacturing plant technical support and evaluation of new sources of raw materials and finished products)
Basic wet chemistry and use of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instrument equipment
Receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples
Assumes technical responsibilities including operating various laboratory and office equipment as necessary to meet scheduling demands

Essential Duties:
* Safely performs analytical testing (quality control testing, manufacturing plant technical support and evaluation of new sources of raw materials and finished products)
* Basic wet chemistry and use of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instrument equipment

Job Description
Position Purpose:
Responsibilities for this position include the preparation and analysis of hazardous waste samples using standard EPA and ASTM methods. Responsible for following established laboratory QA/QC protocols as well as performing routine calculations and data entry. Laboratory Instruments and procedures employed may include: GC, GC/MS, ICAP, Mercury Vapor Analyzer, Ion Chromatography, Parr Bomb calorimeters, pH meters, TOC analyzers, balances and various wet chemistry procedures. Cleans and maintains instruments and work area. The position is working the afternoon schedule.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Conduct all login procedures, both manual and electronic, of samples delivered to the laboratory, ensures proper labeling and paperwork.
Sub-sample a variety of waste materials, process and product samples and follows proper analytical methods required for compliance in accordance with established guidelines and training.
Conduct sample analysis on sub-samples per methods and procedures established by training and knowledge of analysis plans. Conducts QA/OC sample analysis and calibrations.
Ensure proper written and electronic documentation of all test results including QA/QC and audit sample documents prior to approval and completeness of summarizing data. Notifies appropriate supervisor or staff member of completed analysis.
Prepare reagent solutions, standards and other laboratory solutions as directed by supervisor or lead technician per guidance and training.
Maintenance of analytical equipment and documents in accordance with quality assurance and control compliance.
Gather appropriate paperwork for management approvals and notifies staff of any incomplete sections needing attention. Assists in compiling and reporting of analysis date including QA/QC data for review by staff.
Perform periodic audits of analytical logs to ensure regulatory compliance for completeness and accuracy.

Job Description
Position Purpose:
Responsibilities for this position include the preparation and analysis of hazardous waste samples using standard EPA and ASTM methods. Responsible for following established laboratory QA/QC protocols as well as performing routine calculations and data entry. Laboratory Instruments and procedures employed may include: GC, GC/MS, ICAP, Mercury Vapor Analyzer, Ion Chromatography, Parr Bomb calorimeters, pH meters, TOC analyzers, balances and various wet chemistry procedures. Cleans and maintains instruments and work area. The position is working the afternoon schedule.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
* Conduct all login procedures, both manual and electronic, of samples delivered to the laboratory, ensures proper labeling and paperwork.
* Sub-sample a variety of waste materials, process and product samples and follows proper analytical methods required for compliance in accordance with established guidelines and training.
* Conduct sample analysis on sub-samples per methods and procedures established by training and knowledge of analysis plans. Conducts QA/OC sample analysis and calibrations.
* Ensure proper written and electronic documentation of all test results including QA/QC and audit sample documents prior to approval and completeness of summarizing data. Notifies appropriate supervisor or staff member of completed analysis.
* Prepare reagent solutions, standards and other laboratory solutions as directed by supervisor or lead technician per guidance and training.
* Maintenance of analytical equipment and documents in accordance with quality assurance and control compliance.
* Gather appropriate paperwork for management approvals and notifies staff of any incomplete sections needing attention. Assists in compiling and reporting of analysis date including QA/QC data for review by staff.
* Perform periodic audits of analytical logs to ensure regulatory compliance for completeness and accuracy.
* Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
Spends 100% of the time in a lab or operations environment. Typically spends 10 - 20% of time exposed to outdoor and sometimes inclement weather. Company service vehicles are used as required.

SUMMARY
Performs routine laboratory tests under close supervision to determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Read and understand all analysis and safety standards in English, including ASTM, UOP, IP and other well-defined analytical standards and procedures used in the laboratory.
* Assist senior laboratory personnel in setting up, adjusting and operating laboratory equipment for which the technician has been adequately trained and has been verified to operate correctly in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.
* Assist in or perform basic analytical tests from well-defined standards and procedures as assigned by the Laboratory Manager. Laboratory technicians must be verified to be able to perform all tests in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.
* Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment.
* Assist in calibrating laboratory instruments for which the technician has been adequately trained and has been verified to operate correctly in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.
* Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
* Exercise procedural, safety and quality requirements specified in Laboratory Manual #5, Safety Manual #7, and the Core Laboratories Safety and Environmental Manual, and company policies.
* Attend training and pass appropriate examinations in petroleum, chemical and gas analysis, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials disposal, and other safety and compliance training required by applicable regulations.
