Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President of Compliance and Civil Rights, the Deputy Administrator for Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, and Retaliation provides leadership and case management expertise to ensure institutional compliance with federal and state laws, as well as university policies, related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and sexual misconduct.
The Deputy Administrator is responsible for managing intake, investigations, and resolution of complaints, as well as supporting campus education and prevention efforts. This role serves as a key resource in creating and maintaining a safe, equitable, and inclusive campus environment.
Remote Work Designation
This position offers flexibility in work location. While this university office is located in Fresno, CA, we also welcome applicants interested in working remotely. The incumbent will be required to perform all CSU-related work within the state of California. Job Summary
Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean serves as the chief administrative and academic officer for the Kremen School of Education & Human Development. Currently, the Dean provides leadership to 63 full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty, 189 temporary faculty, and 21 staff. The Kremen School currently enrolls more than 2,400 students in undergraduate, credential, graduate, and doctoral programs; and it prepares more P-12 school teachers than any other public university in California. The Admissions Advisor for CIAT's Military Division will contribute to our military student recruitment efforts.
Responsibilities
Comply with all Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures
Meet and exceed term, quarterly, and annual military student enrollment goals for online degree and certificate programs
Interact with a high volume of prospective students via phone, email, chat, trade shows, user groups, and/or other communication channels to support student enrollment initiatives
Attend military in-person and virtual military recruitment events
Help transitioning military service members explore education and career development opportunities as they transition to civilian life
Guide prospective students to evaluate all education investment options including military benefits, federal financial aid, employer-sponsored funding, private loans, and personal investments
Discover the education and career objectives of prospective students and advise on all aspects of the enrollment process, including admissions requirements, program requirements, finance options, and applicability of previous college credits earned
Use professional knowledge and perspective to build rapport, overcome obstacles, and guide prospective students through the decision-making process
Set clear expectations with prospective students regarding program requirements, while helping them identify options to develop a personalized plan for success
Proactively follow up with prospective students from first contact through the completion of the first term and assist in overcoming obstacles in the process
Develop and implement a plan for generating referrals and personally developed inquiries from all current and prospective students and personal and professional networks
Document all interactions with prospective, active, and inactive students within institutional information systems and utilize internal systems with proficiency and accuracy in creating, maintaining, and updating student records
Effectively communicate with other CIAT departments and share student information and documentation to offer a high level of service and meet state and federal, accrediting, and other requirements
Meet or exceed resource management and enrollment goals established and provide accurate forecasting of performance outcomes
Manage a student portfolio by nurturing active students, promoting new programs, and meeting or exceeding retention goals

Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and general knowledge of the higher education industry
Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in customer service and/or sales

Keep camp safe and running smoothly: Prioritize camper safety and family trust at all times. Anticipate needs, adapt quickly, and problem-solve on the fly to ensure camp runs seamlessly, even when things don't go as planned.

Phase One: Training & Prep (Feb-June/July): Up to 15 hours per week - mostly flexible and remote, with some required scheduled and in-person commitments. This phase includes in-person training(s), a Bay Area retreat, scheduled virtual training(s), marketing events, and on-site prep at your camp location during the week leading up to camp. Some events may take place during evenings and weekends.
Phase Two: On-Site (June-August): On-site hours typically range from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (M-F), averaging 45+ hours per week over 5-8 weeks, depending on camp placement.
Phase Three: Wrap-Up (Aug-Sept): Up to 5 hrs total, remote, for final admin tasks and staff reviews.

The Impact You'll Have

About Families in Action for Quality Education (FIA Oakland)
Families in Action for Quality Education was founded in 2019 among leaders of the five largest and high performing East Oakland charter schools to protect access to quality public schools through elevating authentic parent and youth leadership. We recognized that we were suffering political losses that threatened our families' access to high quality charter schools. We needed to act differently to get different results. Four and a half years later, FIA has scaled its work to 45 schools, district and charter, and become a profound source of city-wide family power. FIA's 500 parent and youth leaders lead campaigns in their schools and city to champion quality education, ensuring that underserved families disrupt inequities at the school and systems level and achieve policy and practice wins. In partnership with Energy Convertors, Great School Voices and its school partners, FIA has become a force to be reckoned with in Oakland education.
Key Responsibilities
This is a full-time position. FIA uses a hybrid model in our organization, meaning we have 3 in office work days and 2 remote work days per week, in addition to some in-person and virtual evening meetings.
In this role, you will report to and receive weekly coaching from the Senior Organizing Consultant in order to:
Recruit, train and lead a team of parent/community leaders to develop school-based parent-led organizing campaigns to empower parents, youth and teachers to act in the public arena to promote and defend their interests and values.
Use 1:1 meetings to build relationships and identify parent/community leaders. Use a variety of outreach methods to recruit leaders and allies through including school events, house visits, and house meetings.
Partner with school leaders and family coordinators to develop family leadership and build sustainable structures to channel parent leadership within schools to accomplish goals such as increased literacy outcomes.
Partner with school leaders and college access teams to develop student leadership and build sustainable structures to channel student leadership within schools to accomplish goals such as increasing college readiness outcomes.
Develop the knowledge and understanding of family leaders in education data, the Oakland public education landscape, and the principles and practices of community organizing.
Develop, lead, and manage education issue campaigns and community collaborations including community meetings, public events and demonstrations, voter education and mobilization initiatives, and other forms of civic engagement.
Develop organizing project plans and use monday.com for project management
Input and analyze weekly organizing data and use it to drive weekly and monthly priorities.
Additional skills, duties and responsibilities
Build strong coalition relationships among school personnel, diverse community organizations stakeholders, neighborhood leaders and elected officials.
Use new media, apps and social media organizing including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Canvasser app, blogs and email outreach to enhance the on-the-ground work.
Support Oakland Enrolls Outreach Efforts: Assist families in navigating Oakland's public charter schools by providing phone support, hosting tabling events, giving presentations, and participating in other outreach activities.

Under the supervision of the home-based services supervisor, the family development educator shall be responsible to:
1. Conduct weekly home visits with families lasting a minimum of one and a half (1.5) hours to a maximum of two (2) hours per session.
Develop and implement weekly lesson plans in partnership with parents.
Provide comprehensive services to families as outlined in the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
Meet all program-required screening and ongoing assessment timelines with regard to health, education, disability and mental health.

Provide case management and general counseling to assigned families to ensure provision of quality mental health, health, and social services, including services to high-risk pregnant women, expectant fathers, and their families. Maintain accurate documentation.
Assess, document and maintain strength-based Family Partnership Plan while supporting parents in achieving their family goals.
Participate in regular case conferencing sessions to discuss strengths, needs, and concerns of children and their families.
Refer families to available community services and follow up referral to ensure needed services were obtained. Develop relationships with the community and community resources and monitor to ensure families receive necessary services in a timely manner.
Participate in and attend all required meetings, training, workshops, conferences, and continuing education as required.

Minimum of two years' experience in a childcare program as a preschool or infant/toddler teacher or in a social service, community-based agency providing case management services.

**POSITION SUMMARY**
Reporting to the Deputy Director for the John Gardner Center, the Quantitative Research Associate collaborate with Gardner Center staff and community partners to design and carry out rigorous, actionable, and capacity building research that responds to the partner's needs and enables them to make research-informed decisions that advance their efforts to improve the lives of youth, families, and communities.
**CORE DUTIES:**
+ Develop and carry out research designs that utilize the most robust quantitative methods possible given project parameters (e.g., timeline, budget). This includes collecting, securing, cleaning, verifying, documenting, coding, and analyzing data using a variety of methods.
+ Ensure quantitative and qualitative dimensions of a study are seamlessly integrated from initial design through final reporting.
+ Meet with partners on an ongoing basis to review research activities, interim findings, and evolving analyses.
+ Communicate research findings to a variety of interested, invested, and impacted parties, including academic and community audiences. This may include writing and presenting interim research updates, non-technical research summaries, and peer-reviewed studies for leading peer-reviewed journals.
+ Participate actively as a collaborative member of the Gardner Center team, contributing to a vibrant, generative community dedicated to community engaged scholarship in the service of ensuring the wellbeing of our most vulnerable youth, families, and communities. This includes attending regular staff meetings and retreats, supervising students and junior staff on specific projects, collaborating with colleagues across the greater Stanford community and research field, and contributing to proposal development for future projects.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Faculty are responsible for the academic supervision of TAs, including the selection of the TA, assigning tasks, and monitoring their work. Korean Studies Center Office (KSC) provides support to TAs such as: completing TA hiring paperwork, conducting TA orientations (KSC program), approving time cards, and working with the Human Resource (HR) and Payroll Offices to ensure stipend checks are issued on a timely basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support course preparation through activities, includes Canvas shell preparation
Assist with grading student assignments (Faculty are responsible for final grading of student work)
Provide written and verbal feedback on student assignments or activities
Attend initial, class lecture - if requested by Faculty (attendance for personal benefit does not qualify; budget does not permit TAs to attend every class session or class sessions in their entirety)
