The Senior Counsel position is responsible for providing advice and counsel to the Company on a broad range of employment and labor legal issues and managing disputes against Southwire and its affiliated and subsidiary companies. Key Responsibilities
Provide sound legal advice and counsel to Southwire in complex U.S. and international employment and labor law matters affecting day-to-day operations by assisting, advising, investigating, researching and resolving legal and business matters.
Manage employment and labor disputes, including lawsuits and complaints filed with federal, state, and local agencies.
Assist in the development and implementation of People and Culture processes and policies to address company needs and legal requirements.
Support the Total Rewards Team responsible for health & welfare, retirement and compensation benefits.
Conduct Merger & Acquisition Employment and Labor Law Due Diligence and Integration
Lead, support and advise on workplace investigations.
Draft and negotiate various employment related agreements.
Partner with the business to assess legal risks and develop strategic solutions to protect the Company's interests; Ensure key information is communicated to necessary stakeholders.
Effectively oversee outside counsel, including developing strategies which align with and achieve the Company's strategic business objectives, coordinating with the appropriate Southwire subject matter experts, and defining the Company's desired outcomes.
Manage a high-volume of legal projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
Prefer a minimum of 20 completed college credit hours. Equivalent life or professional experience may be considered in place of educational credit hours.
Required Experience
Must be at least 19 years of age.
Experience working with children in a structured environment, such as coaching, tutoring, or teaching, is preferred.
Previous experience in a similar educational or instructional camp, space exploration role, or military setting is a strongly preferred.
Must possess excellent communication and instructional skills and act as a positive role model.

Physical Requirements
The job involves substantial physical activity, such as walking and climbing (stairs, hills, ropes, ladders, poles, and wooded terrain) to reach simulators, ropes elements, and training areas. Extended periods of standing (4-6 hours or full shifts) are needed for instructing and operating simulators. Employees must be able to carry and lift items up to 50 lbs. waist-high and perform bending, kneeling, and reaching to handle supplies, operate equipment, and participate in camp activities. Visual acuity is essential for presenting lectures, conducting instructional tours, and engaging with guests and staff. Effective verbal communication is also necessary to deliver clear safety briefings and debriefs. Additionally, maintaining high standards for workspace and personal appearance is expected, along with active teamwork and collaboration with all Space & Rocket Center staff.

* Supervises students during evening activities
* Ensures hall security to maintain the health and safety of participants
* Maintains sufficient communication with program staff and participants to ensure efficient program operation
* Monitors participants for the duration of the summer program and trips
* Ensures that all participants are in their rooms and remain there after lights are out
* Attends all program functions with participants
* Attends weekly staff meetings
* Maintains necessary discipline and harmonious relationships with participants and staff
* Assists others with programming to ensure that all classes, activities, and events are organized
* Transport students to and from designated pick-up and drop-off locations and off-campus activities
* Deliver food and other supplies to student

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* College graduate OR a student in good standing with Junior or Senior status

Programs are conducted for students in grades K - 8, although not all instructors are required to teach all grades. This role requires representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.
