    Seasonal Ranger Camp Counselor supports the Ranger Adventure and Junior Ranger Adventure camp programs to ensure a safe and positive experience for camp participants and the public. What You'll Do Assist in facilitating recreational activities, including archery, fishing, paddling, teambuilding, and geocaching. Oversee pick-up and drop-off of camp participants and maintain a variety of records. Perform routine maintenance on camp equipment including kayaks, fishing poles, and archery equipment. Operate District vehicles as needed including work trucks, ATVs, and boats. Foster a working environment that promotes safe work habits that supports a clean, organized and hazard-free environment. Deliver excellent customer service and support a positive, team-oriented workplace. What You'll Need 18 years of age or older at time of hire. Valid Driver's License in good standing. Must have and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or obtain upon hire. Must have and maintain Illinois Mandated Reporter certification or obtain upon hire. Previous camp counselor experience preferred. Experience with outdoor recreational activities including hiking, archery, fishing, and paddling preferred.
