The Milieu Counselor functions under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, Clinical Manager and/or Program Director. In this role, you will establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients' visitors and other facility personnel while assuring confidentiality of patient information. The appropriate candidate will observe patient's behavior and record observation either in chart and/or communication log, reports and follows direction of immediate supervisor in the event of crisis or emergency situation. This position participates in conducting room checks in all patient rooms as required throughout shift and document(s) appropriately. This candidate will conduct assigned lectures and groups. Eligible for Weekend and Night Differential. Temporary Description The Senior Camp Counselor is responsible for a group of children and always supports the ongoing supervision of all campers throughout the camp day. The Senior Counselor helps children adjust to camp according to camp rules and safety precautions, forms cohesive groups and enjoy their activities. The Senior Counselor is a source of friendship, guidance and positive redirection to the campers. He or she will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the variety of activities on regular camp days and supports the efforts of the Camp Director, and Specialist in all aspects of camp activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · At all times, maintain a professional demeanor, as a representative of the YMCA. Wear Camp uniform as required. Encourage through positivity. · Supervise and keep campers focused and engaged in camp activities and responsibilities.
