About Camp Tanager
Established in 1926, Camp Tanager provides day and overnight camp programs to over 1,000 campers each summer. Campers from all backgrounds are welcome to attend our programs designed for fun, fitness, friendship and learning. Camp Tanager was voted Coolest Camp in Iowa in 2016 by The Philadelphia Inquirer for our unique and expansive program offerings.

Job Details
The Overnight CampCounselor provides direction, supervision and support while facilitating a positive camping experience for all campers. The Overnight CampCounselor has primary responsibility for those campers specifically assigned to the individual counselor. You will offer active, engaged and continuous supervision to all children and participate in maintenance of the facility after activities. The Overnight CampCounselor should have the ability to live in a camp cabin for up to a week at a time.

Iowa or Nebraska Boat license or the ability to get one within 30 days of transfer or hire (Boys Town will provide) required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Water Safety Instructor Certification preferred.
Current Lifeguard/CPR Certification preferred.
Valid driver's license preferred.

PAY RATE: $480 weekly stipend.
SCHEDULE: This is a seasonal position during the summer months.
Day CampCounselor: Weekly hours may vary, typically Monday - Friday, 7:30am-5pm. Counselors can park at the branches and ride the busses to camp daily.
