    Position TitleSenior Counsel, Dispute Resolution and Revenue CycleBell Hospital / Career Interest:This position supports revenue cycle needs for the health system. The Senior Counsel, Dispute Resolution and Revenue Cycle provides legal counsel on matters related to billing, collections, reimbursement, compliance, and payer relations. This position ensures the organization's revenue cycle operations comply with federal, state, and payer regulations, and supports the financial health of the health system.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Provide legal research, analysis, and advice on healthcare regulations, billing, collections, and reimbursement issues. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to payors, vendors, and revenue cycle operations. Advise on compliance with federal and state laws (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers), and help resolve regulatory or legal issues impacting the revenue cycle. Support the resolution of denied claims and appeals, including shepherding disputes through administrative processes. Analyze the impact of regulatory changes on revenue cycle processes and recommend operational adjustments. Collaborate with revenue cycle, compliance, finance, and operational leaders to optimize revenue capture and minimize legal risk. Assist in developing and updating policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and operational efficiency. Monitor and report on legal and compliance risks related to revenue cycle activities. Lead or support alternative dispute resolution (ADR) efforts, including drafting ADR clauses, preparing for mediation/arbitration, and managing the resolution process. Oversee review of Medicare payment rules and creation and submission of comments to respond Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and Experience Juris Doctor 7 or more years experience in a law firm or an in-house legal department or governmental law department. 3 or more years experience in health care law. Preferred Education and Experience 5 or more years experience in health care reimbursement, billing dispute resolution including alternative dispute resolution methods. Required Licensure and Certification License to Practice Law - State Bar Association Admission in good standing to the Kansas Bar, or member in good standing of another state bar and registered as in-house in the state of Kansas. Required Language Skills Advanced English - Read, write, and speak English Knowledge Requirements Significant experience in dispute resolution with strong negotiation skills. Strong academic credentials and solid work ethic. Stellar analytical, verbal and written communication, negotiation, and influence skills. Broad background in providing solid and collaborative advice and counsel to internal leadership to minimize legal risk. Broad background in contract negotiations with payors and vendors. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations impacting health care billing, collections, and reimbursement. Ability to work efficiently and independently under tight deadlines and pressures. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365. Understanding of revenue cycle practices and activities. Combination of law firm and in-house legal experience preferred. Experience working in the academic medical center space preferred. Position Summary: Camp Counselors lead and engage groups of children in daily recreational activities, games, crafts, and field trips. Key Responsibilities: * Organize and lead children in various activities. * Supervise and guide children in your group under the direction of a Head Counselor. * Communicate effectively with campers, staff, and parents. * Ensure the health and well-being of participants, adhering to all safety and emergency procedures. * Model professionalism and a positive attitude at all times. * Assist with participant check-in and check-out. * Maintain and clean program areas after use. * Support special events by hosting booths or leading activities. Minimum Qualifications: * Must be at least 16 years of age. * Experience planning, organizing, and leading activities. * First Aid/CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of employment (City-provided training). The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. Environmental and Physical Factors: Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings and requires the ability to lift and move program supplies and equipment. Long periods of standing and active participation in recreation activities are common. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen and fingerprint-based background check (as required by the State of Kansas).
