Overview: Our client seeks a seasoned and strategic Senior Commercial Counsel to lead their commercial legal function and provide expert guidance on privacy, AI, and product. Company: Dallas-based healthcare workforce solutions and staffing company. Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience. Location: Remote or hybrid 3 days/week onsite in Dallas w/ possibility of conversion to perm in Dallas. Responsibilities Include: Lead and manage the commercial legal team, overseeing strategic contract negotiations, vendor agreements, partnerships, and licensing, ensuring alignment with business goals and risk tolerance. Advise on AI use cases, including risk assessments, governance frameworks, & compliance with new regulations. Counsel product teams on privacy-by-design principles, AI regulatory compliance, and data management. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, TCPA and state-specific privacy laws, including maintaining internal policies on privacy, data governance and protection, AI development and deployment, and HIPAA.
