Fishing CampCounselor
St. Andrew's Parks and Playground, is searching for Fishing CampCounselors for our summer Fishing Camp program. The ideal teammate is passionate about working with children, teaching basic fishing skills to a group and is excited to be part of a team that has enriched lives through parks, recreation, and wellness for over 80 years!
This is a great position for fun individuals who love fishing and sharing that knowledge and fun experience with children 8 - 13 years of age.
This is a seasonal position that runs during the summer break. Fishing CampCounselors will start their day at the gymnasium at 1095 Playground Road prior to transporting the participants to the fishing location for the day, then back to the gymnasium at the end of a fun day of fishing. Participants and counselors will need to bring a sack lunch each day as lunch will be picnic style at the fishing site.
Summer Fishing Camps will run Monday through Friday from June 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026.
Paid pre-camp training sessions will be on select dates between May 11 and May 29. These sessions will start at 6:00 PM and conclude once the program activities for that session are completed, typically by 8:00 - 9:00 PM. Attendance at pre-camp training sessions is mandatory, however, exceptions may be made on a case by case basis with approval from the Program Director.

Responsibilities:
The CampCounselor's duties, though not exhaustive, comprise the following:
Sensitivity and flexibility to the needs of a diverse group of campers
Ability to tailor summer camp program to target the goals of each camper, including but not limited to:
Active participation in adaptive sports, music, arts/crafts
Active participation in field trips out in the community
Ensuring each child is socially, emotionally, and physically challenged through creative initiatives and suggestions
Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
Work closely and collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team
Tend to the care of the camper's personal hygiene needs, including oral feeding and toileting/diapering
Assist with ensuring a safe and clean environment for campers. These duties will include wiping down/sanitizing equipment, furniture, and throughout the camp environment
Participate in the beginning and end-of-day briefings with camp staff
Uphold camp policies and maintain a positive, supportive attitude
Collect data daily on camper goals
Perform other related job duties as assigned

We are looking for enthusiastic, attentive campcounselors to lead, support, and motivate campers as they enjoy all that the camp has to offer. The campcounselor will help plan events and lead group events, monitor campers and respond to incidents, such as behavioral problems or accidents, log events and maintain records relating to activities, and discuss camper participation and concerns with parents and other camp staff members. About the Job
A CampCounselors assists with animal care, heavy cleaning and play yard monitoring.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Monitor dogs in play yard.
• Maintaining a clean environment.
• Feeding, cleaning cabins, lifting heavy items.
• Constantly walking and interacting with dogs and team members.
• MAINTAINING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT!
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Managing schedules and appointments.
• Checking in and out dogs.
• Be active and attentive to dogs and pet parents at all times.
Essential Skills:
• Extremely energetic, outgoing, upbeat with a positive personality.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace, in a team environment, and have exceptional customer service skills!
• MUST LOVE DOGS - the noise, the hair, the messes the love, and the smiles!!!!!!!!
Requirements:
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Availability:
