    Summer Camp Coordinator Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is seeking a Summer Camp Coordinator to join our Summer Camp team. The Camp Coordinator will support camp leadership and staff, coordinate program logistics and fulfill administrative duties. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Availability to work during the designated seasonal camp sessions between June 8th and August 21st, 2026. Assumes administrative duties, including creating schedule rosters, maintaining inventory, restocking supplies, preparing materials, and completing other camp-related tasks. Supports Discovery Camp Facilitators and serves as a substitute facilitator if needed. Supports Senior and Junior Camp Facilitators on breaks and with setting up activities. Addresses behavioral concerns with compassion and applies supportive behavior-guidance strategies when needed. Manages camp Lost and Found. Participates in camp drop-off, pick-up, and parent/caregiver communication. Prepares and distributes clear, timely updates to parents and caregivers through digital communication. Demonstrates professionalism and serves as a positive role model for campers, caregivers, and the public. Maintains Bay Area Discovery Museum supplies, equipment, and facilities. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or some college coursework preferred; a degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus. Previous experience in teaching or child-focused roles, with experience supporting children ages 3-8. Experience working in an informal education, summer camp, or early childhood education setting. Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification and Mandated Reporter training (provided by the Bay Area Discovery Museum) Demonstrates the ability to manage classrooms or lead youth groups effectively. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with campers, caregivers, colleagues, and families from diverse backgrounds and cultures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The employee is required to: Hike and traverse uneven terrain throughout Fort Baker National Park for several miles every day. Ability to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, reaching, grasping, handling, and standing for periods of up to 8 hours. YOUR ROLE As the Enrichment Programs Coordinator, you will design, coordinate, and implement a variety of academic and recreational programs at Shu Ren International School, including after-school programs, enrichment classes, school-year camps, and summer camps.
